335i M Convertible

Its S money for a non S car in exchange for a ropey looking body kit.

I'd rather have the first one you picked out and 10k in my pocket than that last one.

ah ok, 24k is really not bad considering how much car you are getting for your money. I would have thought you could keep it for a year and still get most of your money back when selling it.

Almost without a doubt i cant see them dropping much under that in the near future.

Errr right ok

I guess you need lightning reactions to drive an automatic 3 Series

Since when is an auto 3 series a sports car? It's the kind of car I can see myself in when I'm too old to drive genuinely sporty cars, bar the M3 of course

Not sure whats for sale at the OPCs and if its within budget but its worth noting that the OPC cars come with 2 years warrenty which is ~£2500 worth.

The warrenty obviously doesnt cover consumables and to retain the warrenty I think all parts have to be official porsche (I've been fleeced £330 for a battery). I've had a few things done under warrenty but not near the yearly value of the warrenty. I still think its worth it for peace of mind.
If I find a new rattle or have an issue I wait until the car needs a good clean and then take it in.
I've not needed my disks or pads done yet (done ~12,000 miles) but tyres were £300 a go for the rears. I use mine daily and probably get ~18mpg and up to 28mpg on a run.

I replied to a post by somebody referring to the 335i Auto. I don't care what he called it - he could call it a Sausage Car if you want.

DM you seem to be the expert on Porsche Warranty, just reading you can renew up until 9 years or 125,000 miles, would this mean you could take a warranty out for a year just before it goes over 9 years old, would you have the option of taking two years out at this point, or just the final year?

This car is definitely a sports car, 0-60 in 5.5secs and limited at 155mph, probably capable of 175 +. Anything better than that I class as super cars i.e Lambo/Ferrari and so forth. I don't know which planet you guys live on but here in London, 1 out of every 100 cars you'll pass will have specs as above unless of course unless you're in Central London where everyone drives top of the range.

But don't take my word for it, as you all know better.

(My opinion)

The car has to be 8 years or under for a 2 year warranty as far as i know.

But paying inflated prices aside it does give you peace of mind dosent it? And also Porsche servicing is cheap in the bigger scheme of things its just a pain when you need a battery as happened to you etc.

Yeah I'm not bitter. I wouldn't run one without a warrenty. I think 2 year/20,000 mile service intervals are great for this type of car. The cost for service has been very reasonable compared to what I have heard for similar cars.
