Nicky Butt was sound, his main problem was that while Roy Keane was there unless he changed his name to Roy Keane and was picked by accident , he was never going to get the games in.

Aye I remember having heard something to that effect. I think that's where the misguided Butt love came in

I agree, Rooney's was further out and more important at the time but Berbatov's technique was better and it was more difficult.
Well MOTD's is voted on by Shearer and co so whereas SSN's is voted for by the fans so to make things fair I'll go for that and I'll just say that Meireles wont win it or Rooney will, whichever you prefer
