suggestions to replace my wd20ears

in fear of starting another western digital discussion

, my drive is dying and before i send off for RMA, i want to back up my stuff to another drive. what drive would you suggest for me:

- i watch video files from it all day
- needs to be 2TB
- needs to less than £100
- NOT WD

also, your feelings on these enterprise/server drives would be intersting

I have 8 of the samsung F4 2tb's, reasonably quiet, good performance, no issues in my server since patched

Definitely F4EG. If you buy one new now you almost certainly wouldn't have to patch it.

Well I have mine raided, OTT , probably but then I wouldn't want to lose any of my data, as to RMA, never had to do it with Samsung so I Couldn't say

Yea i generally prefer Samsung drives as they seemed to be tougher
