£80 to fill up!

For small distance commutes I'd definately consider a 125, pretty bargainous way of getting around.

Yeah, exactly. Don't get me wrong its cold in the winter and can be wet!

I only commute 9 miles each way to work on it.

It cost me £1800 but its brand new (3 year warranty), does 65mph comfortably and returns almost the same mileage / gallon whether its ridden slowly or at full throttle!

Simples!

Not that stupid surely, ideally public transport should be cheaper than a single person in a private car.

Public transport must always be cheaper than driving, otherwise, theres no point in it (for me anyway).

It makes no sense why it is cheaper for me to drive to Derby than it is to get the train.

I've been (as I think many of you have too) been recording fill up data:

Gone up around 50% in the 2.5 years i've been collecting the data :(

I recon 140ppl (I know some places are there already) 1st July.

£45 to fill which gives 300-350 miles depending on how granny I drive.

If the trouble keeps going in the middle east its going to easily top 150 or 160 a litre. Its already 145 a litre on motorways...

Coming home with my sister in her car yesterday, we had to pull into Clacket Lane to fuel up...it was 149.9ppl.

I know it's a motorway service station, and also it was a Total garage so expensive anyway...but Christ :/
