Well after having a tumble and suffering for a week or more with whiplash myself, I dont disagree... I just don't want to turn up somewhere looking like the guy with "all the gear and no idea" given my trail skills are still at the basic level :o :p

weescott: tubeless allows you to run lower pressures, but burping is a problem pros have with it, given that they hit corners harder than anyone else. For us normos it's not a problem.

That's not what I have found for AM riding. I run about 32psi front and back with UST tyres/rims. With the MK UST I found the front tyre would walk if hitting corners hard at low (c25) PSI. With the NN I found I could run silly low PSI ( < 20) though I choose not to. Too low a PSI + rocks = ripped tyres! I guess it's about experimenting to see what combo works for you. :)

Arrghh, doing my lower leg service on my Revs and this freaking happened just as i was putting it all back together, god damn weak arse metal. My Revs are bloody cursed i tell ya, twice back to fishers for warrenty work, and endless creaking noises from them (which i suspect is the steerer/crown interface) and now this.

Single ply or dual ply tyres?

They are both Single Ply tyres. The NN has a much thicker side wall though.

I dont want new pads or discs, what can I do to sort the problem out?
Sand paper? Alcohol?

Surley the only option isnt new pads and discs?

I use gardening propane gas flame thrower on the pads and Rotors. Works a treat. :D Normal people might use a gas hob.

That camera angle, the big blades of grass and the huge log your are sitting on make you look about 12!

lol

Looks like you had a cracking day out though.

Yep alcohol wipe then give them a rub on some sandpaper.

As I thought, Thanks.
