Alright folks!

Have recently upgraded to the 50Mb Line with Virgin media in Glasgow. But since this has happened, every morning I wake up and I need to reset the modem as it yellow lights are flashing. Have phoned Virgin and they say the line is fine. Just wondering if anyone else has had any issues with this?

Strange. I've had to reset my router a few times since getting upgraded to 50Mb, but never the modem. With VM too.
 
they supplied me with a new all in one modem/hub at the time, but it just seems as though it cuts out and every morning, and the wireless signal isn't as strong now either.
 
Heh, i just read virgin media as title and instantly knew it was virgin failing XD I have been stuck with them for 3 years, constant slow internet which they love turning off for maintainence and peak operating times..
 
Yip, Vergin Media are just taking people on and not upgrading their exchange equipment, hence the carp speeds, etc, folks are having.
 
If it only happens over night and not during the day when the computer is running, it could be that your router is putting itself to sleep when there's no activity.

Is it 100% just the router and not the modem itself losing connection? Try leaving the computer on overnight (if this is an option) and see if that helps. If it does fix the issue there may be an option within the router settings to stop it from "going to sleep" or you could just get a new router! :)
 
I had the same problem except the wireless didnt want to work and had to restart the super hub thingy to fix the problem.
