Gay Jokes. Normal Behaviour In Your 30's and 40's? (esp. in workplace)

People who use it are often those with poor vocabularies, who resort to these sorts of things to fill in the gaps that their education didn't provide as they were too busy getting ****** at the age of 13.

Tend to agree with this, bad punctuation and text message speak seems rife at my workplace. Your gay, rather than you're gay!

Normally only the people who are 'forever alone' and take lots of time of sick in my experience.
Most of the navy guys seem to talk about horrid horrid things that they did to each other that would make gay men blush.

Always make gay jokes with friends.

Not so much at work though as I've only been there for about 2.5 months so don't know people that well to know they wont get offended etc.. apart from a couple of people.

There are a few gay jokes flying around at my (public) school, not a huge number though... There were far more Gay/Child abuse/Maddie/Holocaust/dead baby/your mum jokes going around last year, this year everyone seems to have realised nobody gets offended by these anymore, and all the funny ones have been told to death... Still hear a good one now and then... The sort of silliness that accompanies gay jokes etc can be more fun than the joke itslef - the actions, later references etc, all build a fun atmosphere, but I can't really imagine it outside a school environment to be honest... I'll have to come back to this one in 10 years.

(When it's dead, just the way you like it! badooum boom tsshhh :p)

This sounds like my office down to a tee. The amount of banter going on constantly and some of the stuff is way beyond the pale. Just one example today, it was decided if we didn't reach a 400 incoming calls target I would be gang banged. Come 5pm, I stand up to put on my bike gear and two hands on my shoulders sit me back down. 'Where are you going sweet cheeks?'.
