11.4 WHQL Official

No problems so far game wise.

Just a word of warning to people, when updating to these drivers if you happen to be controlling the speed of your GPU fan via CCC. Remember to check after installing these drivers. They reset your fan to default speed. Had my GPU running at 50/60°C idle, when normally it's 20/30°C idle (Custom cooler).

Anyone managed to find a fix for using overdrive when you have multiple monitors? The 2D clocks keep dropping to low and cause flickering.

I tried Afterburner on the 11.3's and assign 2D and 3D profiles, but when in a game menu it kept going to 2D clocks and flickering.

I can't believe this still hasn't been fixed, it's been known about for months! All they need to do is turn the clocks up a bit at idle.

just updated my Crossfired 5870's from 11.2 to 11.3 to stop black flickering in Bad Comapany 2 which it didnt and is still there. That and not enough performance on my 30" screen ...
Was thinking og going green team due to this with Tri SLI but HOCP's Tri Fire review makes me want to stay on the red Team...but my trust in AMD's drivers is failing...having said that a couple of players said they were getting flickering in BC2 with the latest Forceware beta's..

Wonder if these will be flicker free..

Overclocking the GPU & having Extended multi monitors has been a problem on all drivers after 10.10e/10.11.

Do you use afterburner, try it with it off. Also fraps or any other fps apps, can also be the cause of flickering with BC2, if you do try switching them off.

this is the first time ive got jumping clocks while browsing, fan keeps spooling up and down its annoying. as soon as i shut firefox 4 down they go back to low clocks, disabling hardware accel in ff sorts it but then moments later the clocks start going up again. im not playing any videos either

It's not a driver issue, it's hardware acceleration kicking in. You can try disabling smooth scrolling, make sure no videos are streamed in the background and if the above doesn't work, try setting a custom fan profile that won't change speed until certain temp.

Or get an aftermarket cooler and keep your temps down by 20*C under load, get higher overclocks and undisrupted silence ;)

I dont use Afterburner but I do have fraps on ...never new it could be the cause of flickering..:o
Will have a few games without it on and see if I am flicker free..:)

Thanks for the info Tommybhoy

ive got a custom fan profile already which i took a while in creating, thing is why did this never ever happen before, only when i install 11.4 it crops up. maybe its because i defaulted settings for the first time in ccc something changed.

it hasnt done it for a while now:confused:

Dunno, make sure to Restore Factory Defaults after every driver update, though.

Hmm its so strange to me to read all those posts about ati bad drivers etc....
Maybe because i use only 1 monitor 24' and only 1 card 6970 but with every new driver release i get + some ftps in all games + to min ftps... playing all games at max settings all the time too (1920x1080).

I would recommend to all ppl complaining to check if their OC is 24/7 stable.
Not just your card but processor, Ram too.

These locked my PC up with the installation image still on my PC.
However on reboot they are working fine. Only tested Heaven 2.5 and 3DMark11, basiacally no change in Heaven but a decent (~90point) rise in 3DMARK.
And greetings Remiz11 :)

I've just discovered a problem with Psychonauts and my HD5770 (a quick look on Google revels this is a common problem with Radeon graphics cards and doesn't effect Nvidia hardware) where the framerate will slow right down until it's unplayable. Does anyone know where's the best place to report such issues?
