Is PSN under attack? - PSN now back up 15/05

Linking to a scene website isnt the most intelligent thing to do on these forums, on top of that its many days old and been mentioned here a few times already :p

Hmm I didnt create my PSN account on the PS3 I have at the moment, it was a couple of ones back - does that mean Ill have to go via validated email? Knowing how organised SCEE is, a rollout for us means this Christmas...

Me too, 3 Playstations ago! Hopefully the e-mail verification steps won't be too painful.

Just to add a bit of negativity/cynicism :) I suspect the freebies (as they are regional) will be USA>Japan>EU in terms of quality. :eek:

My hope is that they keep historical access records with PSN id and PS3 serial and have used that to allow validation - not a hard thing to do, though I guess only if they see value in such a log (opposed to the volume of data it would be) and that they dont think thats been compromised itself...

I reckon the Japanese will get the soon-to-be-announced Metal Gear Solid remastered trilogy, the Americans will get Splinter Cell and we'll get Prince of Persia. :D
 
30 days free PSN+ are they having a laugh? anything you get on it will be useless if you don't keep paying, so they are basically hoping to make some money from it.....

So will we get free games for US and JP accounts also? Assuming they are different for each territory.

You mean the HD classics? (i.e God of War trilogy, SLy Cooper et al?).

I actually wouldn't mind that as I doubt anyone is getting MGS trilogy and would not mind getting POP trilogy as I haven't played any of those games!

I just read the interview and they said the value of the free content would be $20-$25 dollars-ish.

You say they are having a laugh, and in the same post you state you want to get a free game off other accounts that you set up fraudulently :)

Ah come on, I was only half serious, a lot of us have additional accounts for various reasons, but we all know we a have falsified details when signing them up! Does that really need explaining?

Don't get me wrong, I'm no saint (proven by the number of PSN accounts I have!!) If I could recall the passwords of the foreign ones and hadn't used up my 5 validations on them I would probably take the games as well!

I was just wondering if the games will be different per territory, I think MS can block you from getting US stuff these days so wonder if Sony will do the same, IP check?

I don't think they need to give anything really, it's a free service
