critique my car advert

See now I cant help thinking we've gone from one extreme to the other. A happy medium of wordyness and factual detail is required :p

Ah I did feel like that I am beginning to think Im not very good at the car selling stuff! I have sold loads of motorbikes before but this is taking time to move on! any suggestions then fox?

I'd drop the last two bulletpoints myself. 'Washed and Waxed weekly' doesn't really add much and 'Owned by enthusiast' could possibly get some alarm bells ringing for some people. As is the 'Looking for sports car' bit. Personally I'd come up with a bit better excuse, it could set off a bit of a chain reaction in some people's minds - 'He's looking for a sports car = He must drive his cars hard = Car must be abused' should have thing.

Also reword the 'FSH' bit or you might confuse people like me who think that 'FSH' should equal servicing history at a proper dealer or independent, but you've serviced it yourself so that isn't the case. It is a bit of a pet hate of mine but it isn't the end of the world.

And maybe a little more detail?

Im telling you those adverts work leave it alone.

I shall leave it for a couple of days looking around you can't seem to find one in as good a conditon and low miles for the money. I suppose less people want 2.5L cars now!

Earlier in the thread you wrote;

The wheels are the 17inch standard ones that came with the car when first bought, 2 are curbed slightly the others are very clean.

Now your tune has changed to;

phi1 said:
17 inch alloy wheels, 1 is curbed slightly about 2 inches (see picture) rest are fine.

Which is it? There seems to be some inconsistencies here :(

it's one, I thought it was 2 but the other wheel was so minor it's not worth talking about it's me being fussy. I could get pictures to prove that the other is fine if needed.

See you can analyse adverts to death, he dont want to come across as a trader in disguise, so the washed weekly and owned by enthusiast helps there, the FSH, i dunno, at that age the fact its been serviced is a bonus.

**** it what do i know :)

I suppose at the end of the day it is still a better ad than 95% of the other knuckle draggers out there selling sub 4k BMWs.

Just go with what your written and wait and see. The used car market seems to be properly slow at the moment :-\.

Even if you upload good quality photos ebay really dulls the quality down, I suppose thats to be expected with the vast number of photos they have to deal with...

Yeah I just took some with my nikon d3100 and they look brilliant until you upload them, they still look good though!

Sounds like a good offer

I wanted more for it but I suppose it would be gone then, The plates still transfering so I don't know what I would do about that? I wouldn't want them to come down and then start offering less than that!

I have had an offer of £3300 and considering taking it.

You're going to end knocked down to at least that when it comes to haggling.

Stand firm at 3.3k. If they try and take the **** tell them to walk. You'll find another buyer, just went is the problem with the market as it as right now.

I text them back saying they could have it at that price but they have bought another one on ebay. I will be firm on 3.3k. Hopefully somebody will offer this week!
