Impreza STI, big decisions...

I used to get 190 miles from a tank on a '55 STi PPP on a spirited drive. 230 miles on a motorway journey. What everyone has said so far is pretty much spot on, also look at RaceDynamix for mapping solutions.

Thanks Edd, It does seem overpriced looking around. Excuse me for being dumb (and probably not reading around as much as I should be) but what's this DCCD you speak of?

http://forums.sidc.co.uk/topic/154354-subaru-impreza-wrx-200454-only-l6500/ < This seems a decent purchase for the money. Shame it's Black, but still looks spot on

Again, I think it's a bit overpriced. Makes me sound like a tight git but seriously, with bugeye WRXs not selling at 2.5K, asking 6.5K for an 05 blob WRX with a few stick on bits is asking too much. £5K would be about right for that.

6.5K is getting near blobeye sti with slightly higher miles.

DCCD is the diff controller. Not entirely sure if its worth having IMO. On classics you either had ABS or DCCD - not both. If I were buying a blobeye then I'd up the budget to say 8.5K and get an 05 onwards (a black 05 sti went for £7.5K with 68K on the clock not too far away from me)

My current wishlist is for a black Prodrive bugeye with white wheels but those wheels with the big offset that the yanks like so much. I want the calipers and the pink writing changed to Kawasaki green :)

Bit overpriced IMO. Plus, there really is no mechanical difference between a blob and a bug so not worth paying more for a blob which is only marginally better looking.

Prodrive STI Bugeye really is the best buy for a non DCCD UK STI. DCCD came in late 54 plate onwards.

IMO anyway.

I disagree massively Edd, the bugeye ruins the look of the car completely ... I always look at one from the back and think ahhh nice and as soon as i see a picture from the front i vomit ... You are right mind you they are a damm bargain but that’s only because no one wants to own such an ugly looking car :p

Get a sports wagon!

I agree :D
