Yes, America has killed lots of innocent civilians in the middle east over the last few years, but at least they'renot aiming for them on purpose.
Doubt it.
What is a waste of space is locking up random people without any evidence of them doing anything wrong.

What sort of drugs are you on? You do realize that there are areas of the world that operate under different rules than here in the west right? In osama's world the rule of the gun is all that matters. Do you really think he had any interest in "negotiation"? Do you really? Osama was a religious fanatic that had convinced himself that it is justified to kill and injure as many innocents as he could in the name of his religion. You don't negotiate with people like this. If you think you know it all go visit an area of the world that is under the thumb of fundementalists and strike up a conversation with a fanatic. If you do I could only say make sure you have your affairs in order before you go.
There is no negotiation with religious fanatics as there is no common ground to find.

If you lived in NYC at the time of it being attacked, if you lost friends or family in the attack, if your lives were forever changed as a result. If you lived in a country whose media quite effectively demonised just one man, and even more so if you lived in a country where the death sentence was such an acceptable form of justice then I think your views wouldn't be much dissimilar from those of the people pictured above. Hell, if it happened here and my family had been killed by a maniac for reasons that I could not comprehend then I'd be happily singing the news of that persons death.
Must be these darn antihistamines!
Okay so killing terrorists at point blank range is the only way to get rid of terrorism?
If so please tell me how this helps the overall situation?
More than 1 in 3 Americans believe 9/11 was an inside job.
Jus' sayin'
Looks like the Janitor in scrubs was right after all
Killing Osama helps the situation greatly as he is the guiding force and founder of his particular movement. Keep in mind that the people in Al-Queda are very violent. They fight and squabble with one another as much as they fight against the west. A highly disciplined lot they are not. While Osama may not have had much operational control over the years, he had a huge amount of respect and charisma within the organization. One word from him and a dispute could be settled. One word from him and an action taken. One word from him and countries shuddered. It takes a special kind of charisma to keep such a violent and fracticous lot unified. With him gone that key unifying factor is removed. The organization will likely fragment and become much less capable of carrying out large scale atrocities. Of course terrorism will remain and any loony with a gun and a bomb can still cause death and destruction, but the ability to carry out large scale co-ordinated attacks is now greatly diminished.
It is not about black and white stopping them or not. They will always be there. It is about reducing capability levels.
For the record I'm Canadian, and I have lived in Europe for years. I fully support my American neighbours and while I didn't take to the streets last night (bit over the top to do so in my opinion) I went home, had a nice cold beer and felt good about him being dead.
Can't find any reputable source for this statistic. Can you let us know where this info came from?

Are we all forgetting that US still have absolutely no proof that Osama was behind 9/11?
http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/wanted_terrorists (read what he is wanted for)
And theres a pentagon press release from a little while back floating around which clearly outlines that they have no evidence against him for 9/11. I will post it up here when I find it again.
Don't get me wrong - he is/was a horrible man, but not any more so than Rummsfeld, Cheyney or Kissinger.
