Anyone have any experience with these drives?
I'm particualarly interested in the 100gb x2 .

I notice overclockers have the earlier drives, so are they likely to stock the x2's?

It's a lot of money to spend on 100GB of space. Unless you can really justify needing such high sequential speeds, just put together your own RAID0 of SSDs at less than half the cost per GB.

Not too fussed about the cost side of it so much, but I would like to speed up the use of accessing and writing large files. With the space I have available in the case, and the board I'm using, I'll only be able to fit the one revo drive, with space for upto 3 maybe 4 smaller SSD's for storage. Would like to keep it all in the box, so to speak.

So has anyone got some experience of using one of these revodrives, and what it entails getting it up and running. I've seen the compatable boards list over at ocz, but unfortunatley no one yet has used one on a uATX board, although it seems to work on the rampage extreme boards.

Having owned a 240gb X2 now for a few months, I can say that you don't need to be worried about the lack of TRIM, as the built-in GC works just as well, if not better.
After updating the drives firmware recently, I imaged the drive using Acronis True Image, secured erased the drive (to restore performance) and then restored the drive back to normal. All within 3/4 of an hour :D

Awesome product, much better than my previous Crucial C300 ;)
