Best graphics driving game?

very funny, I presume you are joking.

Of course I'm not joking.

I've not played shift 2 though, as I prefer more realistic physics, but the majority
Of screenshots I've seen look very dodgy.

I did have a good laugh at the responses here though. You PC elitists are funny, and I hope one day I can be as hardcore as you lot.

good luck with that but i'm no pc elitist lol, I have an Xbox360 and a PS3 and enjoy various games on all the platforms. Provided you have the hardware Shift 2 looks better and like yourself I prefer realistic physics and I didn't really like Shift 2.

I too had to laugh at some of the suggested candidates from people quoting console games in a 'PC Game' thread lol

I was really disappointed with the GT5 graphics (I bought my PS3 just for GT5). It's a great game anyway, and graphics aren't everything, but even the shadows on the car look like Playstation 1 graphics.

From the racing games I've played, Grid has pretty nice graphics, I'd imagine the later Codemasters games have improved on this

We are not pc elitests, we are stating facts . I also have an xbox and ps3 (see my sig) but I have a pc that is next gen compared to them and most games on it blow every console game out the water visually. Maybe one day you can be as hardcore but 1st of all you have to stop playing racing games on your v-tech and get a real mans machine. Also you state your not joking? well sorry but that just shows your either a) dense or b)trolling or c) very special

I don't get why xbox360 fanboyz come in and claim games from their console are much better looking cause anything lacking AA/AF is crap looking.

This is what i was getting at. The consoles dont have visually impressive games anymore and compared to the pc version often look much worse, I have played both versions often side by side to compare as im constantly proving this to my xbox fanboy friends.

Think about what you are saying, lower res, lower FPS, no AA not to mention any missing game engine effects

Dont be bitter, what you're saying is ridiculous and impossible

Consoles are dated and simply cannot keep up, its a fact and anyone that thinks otherwise is just plain delusional

pretty much summed it up. Its not hard like

I have quite a good gaming PC thanks, but your post sums it up in here nicely.

What a horrible place "PC GAMING" is. :(

On console i also belive the graphics are bit on the down side for GT5....

No it's not, I can see where you're coming from naming Forza 3 and to an extent GT5. Forza 3 does look good but its colour palette and lighting doesn't seem to be on the same level as GT5 but GT5 isn't quite the polished product, some of the cars in GT5 looked like they were imported from a psp (bugatti veyron) which is a bit of a joke, yes they made improvements later to fix the boxed wheel arches and stuff but it's not enough and it should never have been released in that state.

As for Grid/Dirt, yes it does look good and that is what the op asked for but it's just an arcade game so it's easier for that to look good since it doesn't have as much going on as the others.

I have both consoles so i am completely unbiased,I contribute to the console section also and cant wait to get online with mortal kombat. What you posted was incorrect, we pointed out why it was incorrect and you still haven't responded to that as im sure you can clearly see that you are wrong. The op asked what the best looking racing game was and you stated that forza was better looking than any pc racing game. This was wrong and several posters pointed this out and why this wasn't the case. If you have a fairly powerful pc you should be able to download the dirt 2 demo and check out your wrongness for yourself :p

i-bert just seems to be an awful troll.

on-topic: i have been given shift 2 today, so I will have to try it out to see how it looks.
