Wagstaff surprised me, didn't look like he'd do much but as a sub right midfielder he's pacey and very simple at his game, which is technically a bad thing but it turns him into a pretty decent player when you need someone to run at the box in the last 15 mins and hoof it at the goal or someone in the box.

Yeah i gotcha, Wagstaff is pacey for me and his crosses are good, he gets into great scoring positions too but he doesnt score many. Maybe thats because i play him as an inside forward and not a winger, I quess its Reid's all round style, good crosser, ok corner/freekick taker and he provides his fair share of goals which makes him better atm. we'll see ;)

just reinstalled the game and im finding that 90% of the player's i want to buy wont come to me or have stupid wage demand's any one know of any good back up cf's for man city?
 
Man City have a decent strike force already, but you might want to look at the likes of Ishak Belfodil, Khouma Babacar, Yaya Sanogo who are ~18 and will develop in to great players.

my city team * hit with injury's * tevez/dzeko out since the start of the season ... mario out for 7 week's * hence some of my buy's

just fininsing november 2010 sitting in 4th
 
struggling massively in the premier league during my second season with boro , well hovering around the drop zone and its end of january. to be fair i only managed 6th in the championship because of an end of season unbeaten run ! and playoff penaltys

pretty poor considering i spent a silly amount on defence in the summer. missed out on klose/jo and didnt think much of it until i realise i just cant score

im losing majorly on possesion in every game and missing 10+ shots per game. my only decent result was a fluke 5-2 win over villa and the next game i kept my team/tactics and lost 6-0 to bolton

it just doesnae make sense !

Get some strong beastly midfielders. Look for tackling +10, strength +10, jumping +14, determination/workrate/stamina +10, passing +12.
 
ive missed the windows now but if i stay up ill keep it in mind! actually just had a 4game win streak and got to 14th and within 2 points of the top half. but now tottenham are spanking me 3-0

edit- well my new tactic seems to be going alright now its settled in and im up to 12th , panic over ! well except the massive financial crisis looming over me :p

premiership manager of the year . 11th place , drew with UTD , beat chelsea , beat liverpool , got beat by swansea , got beat 7-0 by bolton

i think i will be laughing next season if i can bring a striker who can finish and a midfielder in !
 
Will update with my Maidenhead game shortly when I'm back on my laptop. Second season in the Prem now. :D

Just started a season with City myself. Having major problems with Koralov - he's a complete crock. He starts out at 95%+ and after about an hour into the game he's down to 60-65%. His fitness isn't bad and I've tried resting him but no joy. He never plays that well either.

I'm also sitting in 4th after about 20 games :)
 
As promised, a small update on my Maidenhead game. With a massive £15m to spend upon promotion, but with only a £160k wage budget we focussed almost entirely on youth. A couple of expensive bosmans might have been a nice luxury, but we'll have to leave those a little longer whilst our wage budget is so stretched.

In the end, it didn't take too long for the players to gel. A mixture of premier league giant rejects plus a couple that were just left by the wayside meant we were able to strengthen with some great players. Perhaps not world class, but definitely good enough for the premiership.

My favourite player, and club captain is Jamie Adams. Released from Man United aged 18 without playing a senior game, we picked him up whilst we were still in league 1. He's developed very nicely in that time, as you can see here.

He's been an absolute sensation in the premiership - he's really stepped up to the level required and I can't see us being able to replace him in the near future.

Finally, we won the FA Cup against Fulham in the final, but this victory at Anfield in the league is an amazing testament to the growth in stature of the club. :D Only thing is, we're in Europe now with an 11,500 seater stadium :o

Couldn't resist grabbing this guy on a free for one year to start with, he's now the top earner by quite some way and I must have paid about £1.2m in signing on and agent fees....

Got him on an intensive training routine so hopefully his pace won't drop too low, i think he'll be useful, teach the kids some tricks etc... :D
