Amazing how a car introduced back in 2002 is still nicer than every other example of a competitior in this thread.

I agree get an older one, but ignoring the financials id definitely much rather have that CLK than what she has now.

Would she not be better with a SLK ? or does she need 4 seats ? I also remember her wanting the bright lights on her 120i so you had better find her a car with Xenons !

Most of you are forgetting this is a "do want" by a daughter to a father.

If I were in DMs position I'm sure I'd cave to my daughter after the second or third stamp of the foot. Although fortunately the price tags are slightly less here

From a father's perspective, i'd be suspect of this fact alone. Not to mention that (no offensive intended here) she is appearing to display symptoms of being spoilt. This typically manifests in a disregard for cost or item's worth. 3 cars in 1yr is blatantly disregarding cost.

Crap engine but its the same one she has now anyway and you wanted a small engine. Folding metal roof as well. Nice and slow. Autobox. Looks good.

What doesnt she like about the 1 Series?

How long until she gets bored of the new one though? She has had the 1 Series for only a few months and clearly appreciates you buying it for her so much she wants rid already for something else for no apparent reason.

If BMW's looked good and were in fashion, do you think she would want to change her current car? That's hardly a change at all.

Also keep her away from diesels, they ruin the image.

I think she had a knock in it didn't she? That 'pristine' feel to a new car is often murdered when your car first receives some damage - chips, scratch, bump etc.
