Modern Warfare 3 Announcement Tonight?

You've just lost all credit in the discussion by claiming that BF series is anything like BC2.

They're all better than CoD for that matter but that doesn't make them the same.

Also, BF3 will use a different engine to both BFBC2 and BF2.

I think you've just lost yours by saying Battlefield games are all better than CoD. Works both ways right?

Also, BF3 is on the same engine as BC2, just a more improved "next generation" one!

Call of Duty hasn't existed to me since MW1, which was an amazing game online.

I absolutely loved MW1. MW2 was also a great game, but it just didn't deliver what I was expecting it to. I can't really comment much on BO, as I've yet to even play 1 second of it

think he meant bf3 will be same as bfbc2 which i actually think is right

ea , activision are exactly the same money grabbing *****

only difference is activision are bigger so get more hate its that simple.

Exactly - BF3 will probably be BC2 with BF2 game play. What's new about that?

making new cod is just reskining and maping is needed there no new innovation cod died long time ago. also im surpised how high street selling 18 + rated game to 7 ~ 11 year olds .

MW2 was a great game badly let down by a couple of silly perks, lame cheaters and silly lobby/server system.

Black Ops is pretty forgetable really - even ignoring the large number of issues with it, theres a few good ideas (i.e. being able to hack enemy equipment like claymores to turn them to your side) but if they ported them back to COD4/MW2 no one would even bother with BO.

you are not allowed to say anything negative about bf3 in this forum.
You can, you just have to not be completely wrong about what you're saying.

Difference being the engine BF3 will be using is having some considerable updates which introduce new technology and dates back to only a few years ago, the CoD engine on the other hand is nearly 6 years old and hasn't improved that much.

Well, not really.

Both BF2 and BFBC2 brought something new into the genre, they were fresh games at the time and BF3 is promising to deliver yet again.

MW2 was a bit more of the same that MW offered (that was by itself a brilliant game at the time and still one of the best shooters to date) and Activision gladly milked money from retarded consumers who overhyped the game that was nothing new. A bit like buying every new edition of FIFA or other sports games from EA except for the fact that you're being screwed for £30-40 on release.

Everyone complains about BLOPS and I don't care tbf, never bought it since the campaign was laughably short and the game has not introduced anything that would be of any interest to MW veterans.

Oh, BTW, Modern Warfare 2 was totally broken on PC, it has not lived up to the standard that MW has introduced. No dedicated servers was just punch in the face from Activision.

First 4 CoD games were brilliant, the rest are milking cows for Activision and it surprises me that so many people get pulled on the bandwagon.

Let's circlejerk with other console gamers about how brilliant the next CoD will be. I'm so excited.

I also hate the general console-ish simplicity that the games introduce, hackers only add to the fire.

Once you got past the poor lobby system actually into a game with a decent low latency host without too many idiots and without hackers MW2 is actually really good - unfortunatly most people never get this far and put the game down because of it - that or the fact they are too low skilled to deal with the gameplay the way its meant to be played and think the perks/killstreaks are overpowered because they lack the skill to work out how to counter them.

Or is it? Afaik, it's being developed with PCs superiority in mind.

This is why I still count for 64 players servers.

I know it is. Just trying to wind people up.

I'll gladly play MW3 and BF3. I don't have to choose between the two. Same as PS3 vs Xbox debate.. i'll play them both. It's good we get a choice. You don't have to hate one because you prefer the other.

Hope with BF3 they actually make the gameplay fun for more casual games, BF2 mostly was spent running around capping flags and then running to the next while the enemy took the one behind you, or if you did stay to defend it, nothing happened you'd sit there for like 15 minutes with nothing happening, finally get bored and run off and it would get taken behind you :( that and the fact the netcode was ropey - so many times emptied an entire magazine into someone without apparently hitting them and then getting one shotted back :(

How do you know how far I've got with the game?

I've played it enough to know that I don't like it.

Don't own it on PC since I've got to play on Xbox 360 for much longer but also had a few games on a PC and can't tell that the gameplay is any better at all.

Dumbing down the game for console players and making it a casual title isn't going to work for anyone who is serious about PC gaming.

I've spent countless hours in CoD 4 and can't really see why anyone would play MW2 or BLOPS nowadays.

BFBC2 is better, in my opinion, and BF3 looks even more promising since BC2 was a dumbed down version of BF2 after all.

Your implication that I didn't enjoy the game because I'm a ****ty player are laughable.

Oh, the infamous knives in MW2.

I don't see many people who are actually good at the game complaining about it... :P

and it wasn't really aimed at you but I see a lot of sour grapes about the game from people who I happen to know are terrible at it (I have more than 1000 hours in the game - tho steam says 807).
