My power supply broke on my old external drive so i bought a WD passport 1tb which i have now copied all the data to

I currently have the following;

150gb velociraptor as my primary boot drive
1TB WD Black for data - disk images, application and tvshows
1TB Samsung F1 for data - music, movies and pictures
160gb Hitachi - a backup of my primary from Acronic clone

Spare 1TB WD Green that was in the old external caddy

Should I

a. Sell the drive
b. RAID1 2 of the drive (im thinking with the Samsung)
c. RAID5 3 1TB drives
d. Add it as more storage (not needed at the moment)
e. Something else?

I have a Gigabyte EP45-DS3P, not even sure I can use RAID?

If the drive is in perfect working order and you no longer need it then sell it on would be my advice just make sure to properly erase all of your data before passing it on.

Well to be honest without checking on current prices I have no idea it was just my initial feeling, on the other hand you could keep it for now and buy another external caddy?

Put it in an external enclosure and backup all your important things. You never know when you'll run out of luck!

Raid 1 with the Samsung, losing all your pictures isn't fun.

I have sort of gone with this. Added it to my system just just as a standard backup drive. I use a great tool recommended on here called 'Karen's Replicator' and have created a job to backup my camera pictures to it. Will create another few jobs for things like music, desktop, work etc. It replicates files, sub folders, directory structure etc. e.g. you can get a few new music files and if you forget which ones you have, you can replicate the folder without having to search for them or copy the whole folder of music - very handy free tool

(regarding the porno, thats on the the images drive - not that I use it anyway, i just go on all the youtube variants, even though i have quite a collection!)
