If you don't have an iPhone...

O2
Natwest
Digiguide when it's released, in the apple approval system ATM
BBC news
Goodfood
Vodafone
Lovefilm (although at cost, 99p)
There's plenty of others that I don't use as well all the games.

Some of those apps (linked) are already out and if I remember right when you had an Android it was ages ago when these apps may not have been out and the Market was less saturated with quality apps.

A crapload changes with Android in just a few months which can be a good and a bad thing at the same time.

No grilling of course, just saying!

Ok, so they have those on the App Store, but are they really that necessary? Do you really need them to make you not wanna switch to a different mobile OS that doesn't have them?

Personally, I don't think so.

None of them are on android.

BBC news is a third party rrs feed and is utterly pants no video or anything
Good food simply isn't on there, although there is another app called good food, but it's nothing to do with the BBC good food magazine.
Again love film is not on there, third party apps, but at least they are comparable to love film. ATM the new apple love film app will apparently have all the streaming and be full featured.

On their own no, but combined with other points then Yes. The biggest reason I didnt go android, is the lack of film and tv purchase, they have nothing comparable to iTunes store. As it's a media device this is massively important.

Even on android I use apps, not full webpage. Phone and tablets are media devices and ease of use is paramount and I prefer using apps over web pages for most things.

I had a 3GS, I now have an iPhone4. I will probably go for an iPhone5.

Why? Well it's just a better all around user experience than Android.

However, i'm not going to apologise because a percentage of the Apple fanbase are idiots and brag about their phones - because if they had a Desire or SGS2 they'd be harping on about that instead.

In fact, from the people I know it seems to be the Android users who have complexes, constantly looking for an excuse to call you an "iFag" or a "sheep" or something else.

Why can't people just accept that both iOS and Android come on some great phones, aimed at different people, and leave it at that? Maybe then we could consider moving everything back to the MP forum.

*round of applause*

In the USA it's no longer illegal as a bill was passed for this in 2010. No idea in the EU though.

It never was illegal! The bill passed was essentially clarification of (I think it was the Digital Millennium Copyright Act?) an act and classification as it being "legal" and not "unknown".

Some people are just stuck in the 'mine is better than yours' mentality I'm afraid! :( It's not only with phones either, many people act the same way about houses, cars, etc. which is a bit of a shame really.

You have to remember, it's only a phone, does it really make such a difference if you have a robot or piece of fruit in the logo on the back? :)

I'm so glad Apple fanatics are mostly caged in their own subforum.

I haven't actually come across anyone in there that is an 'Apple fanatic', actually.

What is far more common on here are the idiots that call people Apple fanatics simply beacuse they own an Apple product, small-mindedness at its best.

Unfortunately those with a Windows flag in their sig have gotten lose. Mods! stat!

:D

I see what you did there.

Can't photoshop my sig without getting rid of an interactive banner.

I like your assumption that I don't own Apple products.

You're one of those who lick off Steve Job's fingers, aren't you? :(

I got to hate my SGS when it erased most of my data such as Contacts.

The back up from ****ty software of Samsung did not work.

Don't mess with kernels if you have no reliable back up.

I have an iPhone 3Gs. It's the most reliable phone I've ever had and the one I've had the longest, it's a good thing.

I'm still replacing it with an Android phone though, partly because I want something different and partly because the next iPhone will probably have the exact same interface as this one and all other iPhones before it

Bah, my lasted long enough to sell it when it still held its value.

No regrets.

If I was a seriously busy man though, Apple products can be more reliable and hassle-free at times.

I wouldn't call my phone an iPhone every time I had to (or could) mention it, I wouldn't go around forums and post pointless stuff like how I just ****ed myself from happiness when I got my new toy/replacement of an Apple product.
