unreal tournament

just bought unreal tournament (the first one) WOW its to hard core for me these days. faster than any new game

the guys who still play that game must have been playing since it got released

anyone else still play it or has got it and would like a game?

Don't have it installed ATM but last summer me and a few lads at work did a UT netbook LAN at work, was epic. Runs very well on netbooks

its to fast for me these days. i used to play it 6 player on a lan and was just qualitly. so i thought i would buy it and it came yesterday and i think i got killer 17 time to my 3 kills lol

I know what you mean, I had a go not long back and got raped. People flying about the maps hitting me with the shock rifle and rocket launcher, then switching to the sniper rifle and getting a headshot on me as a fly through the air helplessly. I found an Instagib CTF on facing worlds server, but couldn't even make it up the little hill to the middle of the map

I'd still play if it was still popular enough for leagues. I remember the days when it had numerous pages on the ladders for iCTF

I have the GOTY edition somewhere. Great game. I'd join in if we got a game going. But only after I move into my new house next week.

Much prefered UT2K4 though. :cool:

Ive not got the dvd version but its let me add it to steamt.8ish tonight is good for me.

Any map not really bothered. Would like to play original ones as Ive not played on any others. But not end of the world.

clanbase cups still run twice a year - tdm, ctf, ictf etc all there!

Lots of pickup game channels around on irc too if you wanted to just do a few games with people from the ocuk forums or test yourself against some of the best players around. #ut1 #sasclan #vc.ut are the main three for tdm that I use.

I (well my clan) won one of the cups once. Don't think i've got good enough twitch reactions now though. Been playing too much Call of Duty
