New BMW 3 Series 'Performance Edition'

I got a flier through the mail, opened, seen title, got a little excited, realised they had 2012 badges, then went into the recycle bin

They will sell like hot cakes, and you know it.

BMW are about flogging the 'M' brand in any way possible to people who want something more impressive to their neighbours than a Mondeo Zetec.

Such a shame, but its clearly making them money.

Oh :(. I am of disappoint.

I only read the title of the email before binning it and assumed it was going to be something in between 335i M-Sport and the M3. I assumed wrongly!

What's most annoying is it actually works so well, I understand exactly why they do it but it's just annoying when I speak to someone who's waxing lyrical about how quick and "CORNER'S LIKE IT'S ON RAILS!" their M Sport/S Line spec car is.

Nah they are being clever and ironic, these models will compare in performance to 'Team GB' at the Olympics :)

Reminds me of this...

With a gigantic 1.6 engine.

have they got a price in mind for these 2?. tbh if all your getting is a bodykit, alloys and some stickers i hope they dont try and charge crazy money :P

BMW should be thoroughly embarrassed by this.

Why? It's not like they're Ferrari, specialising almost purely in raw performance-orientated cars, despite what BMW owners may believe about their own marque. They're everyman spiv-mobiles like Audi. 'Optimistic' badging is part of the game.

They should wait to see the sales figures before deciding whether to be delighted or embarassed.

Aren't they doing the same to the 1 series. Got invited to some event at my local dealer and saw it mentioned
