Section 8: Prejudice

My GFWL kept re-installing everytime I started the game in the original Section 8 so I manually downloaded & installed it from MS.

Worked fine since and even with Prejudice.

GFWL is crap. The only downside to this game is that you have to have it running.

Also, my name is rubbish on it and I cannot change it unless I PAY Microsoft money?

Will be on tonight for some games though. Feel free to add me on Steam, same name as here. In game GFWL name is 'Section18 Papa'. :o

First few games I was getting my ass handed too me.

Then I worked out WTF I was doing & starting doing OK. Some maps are a bit small (on a 32 player server) but couple (one with lava) was a good map. Team work really helps but those damn AA Turrets are a pain in the ass for sure. Even marginally too close & you're toast :D

Any good loadouts that people can recommend?

So now that some of you had a chance to play with it a bit, whats it like?

I like it. Played for about 5 hours now and slowly getting to the point where I can hold my own.

The maps are pretty big and the weapons are quite well thought out. I like the fact that you can buy upgrades in game, like an AA gun to stop enemies landing near you. The Mech is pretty sweet as well.

Hit reg seems pretty good and the graphics are also pretty good. It reminds me of a bigger, more polished version of the original Halo.

All in all, well worth a tenner.

It's alright, you get what you pay for really. I intend to play it as much as possible now because I reckon it'll be dead online in a few months. First few goes online were very overwhelming - loads going on etc, good times :p

How do you force AA to get it working?! I hate jaggies :(

I want to know this.

Well I am up to 8 hours gaming time on MP now and a few of my gaming mates have now purchased. The game is much more enjoyable with a decent squad. Had some epic battles last night and really enjoyed it. Really is looking like a bargain for a tenner.

Downloading now. From the sound of it for a tenner you cant go wrong. Hope it has some longevity and the playerbase hangs around a while.

Right, going to put an event up for the Steam Group - everyone ok for a couple of hours blowing each other up on a random public server this Friday at around 7?

I think you should all thank me for being such an awesome beta tester... almost everything I mentioned got fixed/improved upon through the course of the beta :D

But seriously, it sounds like the final product is as awesome as I expected it to be. Still gonna wait for it to come down in price as I've forked out way too much on games lately, but I reckon I'll definitely be getting it. Hopefully by that time the player base hasn't dried up but I can see this lasting a while and doing really well given its price and positive reviews.

Does sound good, hope to get it when my exams are over in a few weeks.

One question though, does it still have the load out customization options like the last one, like more shield points, or more armor points, or more damage points ...
If yes, awesome! What load-outs do people go for?
