At least £10m of my £20m would be invested somewhere nice and safe. I'd live off the rest but keep working at my current job. I'd probably buy a car (and learn how to drive), a flat, and take a few foreign holidays a year.

I think I'd pay my parents mortgages off and try and keep it quiet really. Certainly wouldn't go around throwing money at my mates.

Then I'd buy a honda NSX-R and do a bit of travelling.

Not much, 1mill each to family + 1 mate and 500k(more than enough to pay mortgage off and then have fun or invest) to a few others. The rest would be used as capital to start up a new company researching and building what would be called green technology.

Yes i would give some away to family and friends, enough to let them live the life in luxury too. But £20m

Yea im all for sharing the wealth but not to that extreme, I'd like to be better off then by brother at least, because of the brothaly rivelry LOL

You do realise there is just as much chance of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc winning as any other set of random numbers. Are you suggesting you shouldn't play those numbers because if you do win, you will be spreading those winnings with statistically fewer people, given you wouldnt have got anything if you didn't play those numbers?

A Camelot spokesperson at a dinner dance thing stated that over 1000 idiots in the UK choose these numbers thinking they are being clever.

Same chance, crap winnings. I would seriously lol if they came in. All these fools jumping around then realising the following day they have won bugger all.

I still don't get it. The only reason I can think of is they've chosen birth dates or similar, from day one, and would be suicidal should their numbers come in the one week they do a LD.

But for me, LD is the only way to choose numbers.

There isn't a reason not to pick LD, there's a reason not to pick non random numbers like patters as you would be sharing the prize with lots of others.

I think you are the one who doesn't get it.

If there is the same chance, it makes economic sense to pick numbers that will result in high winnings (hence the randomness of LD), rather than playing sequences like 1-2-3-4-5-6 because that means that even if you do win, the jackpot will be shared.
