Okay just to update those who are interested,

Myself, Murray and Pingwing are all on the OcUKFM Steam Group

Would like to hopefully start tonight, breaking the schedule this one week as pingwing can't make this Thursday,

So we will move tonight as non playing night to Thursday :p


Then normal schedule can begin next week..


So hopefully those who are interested can make it on tonight, so we can sort out which league and also so I can update my script with the available teams.

Do i need to get this Hamatchi then?

I'd also say we shouldn't make it a regular schedule (or at least not that many days) seems a bit intensive.

I feel FC Groningen have made the biggest strides since their change in management, a 1-0 away victory in telaveve and the signing of the hottest czech prospect Václav Kadlec :D

That spanish one was the best of the ones you signed shami too :p
 
Comfortably won the league

Won the cup final 4-0 as well against Grimsby :D

Just in the close season now but I have the feeling some squad redesign will be needed for me competing in League 2. Looking forward to it though!

As promised, a small update on my Maidenhead game. With a massive £15m to spend upon promotion, but with only a £160k wage budget we focussed almost entirely on youth. A couple of expensive bosmans might have been a nice luxury, but we'll have to leave those a little longer whilst our wage budget is so stretched.


In the end, it didn't take too long for the players to gel. A mixture of premier league giant rejects plus a couple that were just left by the wayside meant we were able to strengthen with some great players. Perhaps not world class, but definitely good enough for the premiership.

My favourite player, and club captain is Jamie Adams. Released from Man United aged 18 without playing a senior game, we picked him up whilst we were still in league 1. He's developed very nicely in that time, as you can see here.

He's been an absolute sensation in the premiership - he's really stepped up to the level required and I can't see us being able to replace him in the near future.

Finally, we won the FA Cup against Fulham in the final, but this victory at Anfield in the league is an amazing testament to the growth in stature of the club. :D Only thing is, we're in Europe now with an 11,500 seater stadium :o

Hey

I'm very tempted to start a game with Maidenhead as they're probably my most local team!

Do you have any recommendations for players to sign in the beginning and tactics that you have found that worked? Would be interested to here any tips you have to succeed initially. Thanks :)
