well I would def say this PSN outage is now worse than the RROD. I mean, I can see people just not buying a ps3 in the future because of this... and who can trust sony with our info on any of their products?

Ill have you know most of them are desperate adults...I must admit ive had a good few laughs reading through this thread. Now if you'll excuse me im off to buy a 360 and Live subscription so i can get my online gaming fix. Oh wait, ive just realised im not a desparate child.
LMAO
our info is useless - people give it away on facebook for free
worse than a broken console? LMAO you do realise games still work offline, so does blu ray capabilities as well as play tv, etc.
your from scotland arent you? put the heroin away![]()
I would say it's as bad as the RROD.
The seed is now planted in peoples mind about their information being taken. And the majority will now have doubts about giving Sony their CC details.
This thread sure has brought the fanboys out of the woodwork. It was going so well too.![]()
dude im sooooooooooooooooo not worried about my credit card details being taken, you do know they are fully covered?
i cant believe how many idiots out there think credit card fraud is easy to do and people get away with it every second of every day, leaving people homeless. scare mongering at its best.
you need the 3 digit code on the back (next to impossible), you also have additional security such as passwords setup on your card, if you have more than 1 braincell, where if you try and use it online it takes you to a secure page where you need to type random letters/numbers in from your password, surely you wouldnt use the same password for your credit card as you did on PSN?
anyway as said above you need the 3 digit code on the back, which is next to impossible to obtain, i cant believe the number of people scared by this.
Then it seems that you don't know that several websites like amazon don't ask for that security code and neither do they use the verified by visa or mastercard securecode services so as long as this person knows the card holders address they can just use the card as much as they like.

also wtf, that has got to be one of the dumbest ways to do it.
people see fraud being used on amazon, report to credit card company.
credit card company phones up amazon, oh btw, some fraud occurred on these credit cards, can you help us out. yeah sure no problem, here is the culprits address 123 moron road where all the packages were being sent to.
credit card company to police here is all the fraud, here is the persons address, mind doing your job after we have done all the detective work?
Not saying your wrong but most fraudsters use address that people are not living in. Etc ...
