Les Hinks 'found the footage'.

Despite what some may say.. the Police aren't going to be stupid about this, they will have collected a "reasonable amount" of evidence to charge him. They wouldn't have exactly said "It's his video, nick him."

Good! - You'd think people have already learned this lesson, alas, for Mr Hinks at least, it seems not.

I'm all for video's, youtube etc, but time / place & a little common sence is called for & often missing.

I mean if you are recording sensible driving and happen to be a bit naughty then there is a higher chance if the video is found by the police that you could be prosecuted for t he slightly naughty bit.

Granted in this case the guy was a complete buffoon driving very dangerously. :p

True.

But they'll also want to demonstrate that they're doing something about it too, given the media attention.

I hope the guy does get done, the driving in the video was ridiculous. I'm not even one of those people that say "lol you should cover your tracks better idiot!" (imo that's even worse, it betrays an intent to do likewise).

Will be watching the case with interest.

As above -- I imagine they have something similar to CCTV evidence which shows him in the car driving that route.

Exactly... I know this will never happen... but a quick summary of how I believe various states of "illegal" driving should be dealt with...

If an accident/injury/death is caused by someone's careless/dangerous driving, inproper use of speed... etc

Then and only then should people be prosecuted for it!

its a bit late then isn't it..

if somones driving is careless / dangerous they should be taken off the road BEFORE they get the oppertunity to cause an accident or causing injury or death. driving isn't a right.

Just watched the whole vid, and as a professional editor I can confirm there isn't any ramping(sped up footage) so all the police need to do is find out who was driving.

You can tell by the other things in frame like flashing lights and people walking past. Yes you could track and replace all of these but why bother?

Not exactly Getaway in Stockholm is it? The pedal shots are pure fail too.

Looking forward to the Sequel "Getaway in Bradford" :)

They should have chucked him in the Monster unit video.

Thats actually REALLY well made. They seem to have been very careful to make sure they don't do any major law breaking - infact at no point are the cars going THAT fast, yet it doesnt actually detract from the video in any real way.

Vince, off of a certain south-west based car forum we both know about, made this video. If you didn't already know that anyway.

It is a very well produced video.

I think it's absolutely brilliant even though the cars are really not my thing - it shows that you can still make decent stuff without being a complete ****. I enjoyed watching it far more than I enjoyed watching that prat giving car enthusiasts a bad name driving around Edinburgh.

Really? I thought it was all a bit boring.

Top speed runs and drifting on roundabouts?

I do agree it is a good video, apart from the totally unnecessary shaking of the camera but I guess that is "cool". :p

I guess that was kind of the idea? Although knowing how you defended the Edinburgh video I'm not surprised you found it boring!
