Fox went on a killing spree late Tuesday, canceling five bubble shows including Human Target and Lie to Me.

The network also axed freshman comedies Breaking In and Traffic Light as well as Shield creator Shawn Ryan’s rookie cop drama The Chicago Code.

The cancellations come one week before Fox is set to unveil its fall schedule to advertisers.

Fox, however, was also in the mood for addition as well as subtraction, granting orders to several new series including the Bones spinoff and J.J. Abrams’ Alcatraz.

Lie To Me !!!! :(

:( I'm a massive fan of lie to me, and I was looking forward to getting into Chicago code as I was a massive fan of the shield.

You can pretty much bet on FOX cancelling a good show every year they are so annoying. I thought Lie To Me was excellent TV, seemed to do a lot better than other shows.

As Tim Roth just tweeted "Sorry guys...we tried our best but nielson got us all..!!!!"

nielson has to be one of the most hated companies out there, they have a lot to answer for!!!! :/

Lie to me and Human Target

Looks like only Reality TV, Sitcoms and Police Procedural's stick around for the long haul nowadays.

Chuck and Fringe need to do something fast, they're already lucky to still be on TV! :(

Been quite enjoying Human Target. It's not what I expected, but it doesn't take itself too seriously and is quite entertaining. Was just about to start watching The Chicago Code too. Never liked Lie To Me, but I haven't seen Traffic Light or Breaking In; anyone know if they're any good?

Yep I agree its a strange process they take over in America, all about ratings and how much they can sell/make from Advertising on each show...

The nielsen ratings are only 1 source, which isn't really accurate to be used nation wide + worldwide resale so why they wait on every thing nielsen has to say is beyond me.

Fox strikes again.

Human target was more of a fun, light hearted comedy show...

I would have felt a lot better if it was darker and more 24 style, but I guess were use to it all and they tried something different.

Either way dispite it looking quite budgety perhaps was costing too much, recession past 6 months is just killing every piece of decent telly we have.

That's just American tv, and well, Americans.

I've been getting into more and more shows this year and the product placement is cringe worthy. I can see why it annoys people so much.

The worst offender has been Bones. I remember one scene where out of the blue she starts talking about her car's automatic parking feature. In another it's something else from her car. **** off!! I don't mind a Coke can in the back ground, but when it's blatant as that..

Human Target wasn’t really a surprise, nobody expected it to get a 2nd season.

But i liked it and will miss it :(

For god sake I hate fox with a passion. 2 of my favorites gone. And Breaking in looked awesome canning it 4 episodes in :S

Couldn't agree more

We can only hope Ames finds something else I can watch her in ;)

I'm also surprised Hawaii Five O hasn't been canned yet, seems to me to be another show along the same lines as Human Target that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Just watched the last episode of Human Target. Really pi$$ed off it's not coming back; it's an awesome show.
I've lost faith in US TV now; seems to be just as I'm really getting into a series the companies pull the plug. Has happened so many times!
Lucky now if half the shows get more than a couple of series.

Lie to me?! That needed one more season to conclude Callian

I love Chuck, but I guess that too has no hope in hell after recent ratings.
