Can anyone point me in the right direction.

I'm looking to buy an empty nas chassis that I can add my own drives into.
Ideally it will be able to hold 3 drives or more of mix hardware.

- 2.5", 3.5" SATA and IDE drives.

Does such a device exist, can anyone recommend or know of any manufactures/models?

A NAS will likely only have one type of controller and take one size of drive, most likely SATA and 3.5". However, I bought an external 3.5" Akasa enclosure which can be used via USB/eSATA to connect IDE/SATA. That's probably be going to be your best bet.

QNAP might fit your requirements, this is the same chassis that I have:

Wow that's a great nas.

That won't cover my need for IDE support. I'm going to look into whether or not a nas like this qnap one can build USB disks into the arrays. If so I could add my IDE drive in from a cheap USB dock.
Thanks for your help both.
