Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

MW2/MW has the best netcode of any online shooter I have ever played!

I agree that the treyarch versions of the game suffer from god knows what, which is easy to pick up on by playing online then playing combat training immediately after.

I did all except those missions in the plane scrap yard with the Juggernauts. Where you get them coming from behind in the plane fuselage. The other one that caused us much ranting was the estate.

Also I still have no idea how we managed the mission where one of you moves forward while the chopper circles in support against the clock. :D

Lets face it the amount of time and people they have had on MW3 it will be a load of old turd. Cobbled together for the annual 3 billion profit. It will suffer the same issues as the others because they are never moving the series forward. Just adding killstreaks on different maps.

Love the spec ops missions, playing with my bro we just instinctively move as a team, doing the shower room one (rip off of the rock) was a real blast, perfect placing/pace and covering each other wish I'd fraps'd it, the chopper ones are pretty easy if you have voice comms/in same room.

Juggernauts on estate are a bitch tho, they'll run through a hail of RPG fire and claymores and still be shooting back :(

I went through Spec Op's with Madfruit, was funny as hell when I kept ballsing up the snowmobile missions and we had to re-do them about 10 times :D
Managed to do the lot of them eventually though and I agree, they were the best thing about MW2.

i hope mw3 is not like the others just news maps and weapons i srs think cod needs something completely new to make it interesting again!

I'm done with the series personally, Battlefield 3 is gonna cream it.

They've still done **** all to fix the horrible lag and recognition that plagues MW2/Black Ops, can't remember how 4 played now but I bet it still had the killcam delay.

The location of the dedicated servers and intercontinental matchmaking spoils BC2 for me. It really shouldn't be worse than P2P, but it can be and they've done **** all to fix that. I really don't see that being addressed in BF3

That's a problem with all games. They include the rest of europe as local to us,when really the uk should be classed as a different region due to the hgue body of water between us and them.

In P2P it swings around depending on who is hosting which is fairer than those living close to DICE's servers always having an advantage.

Multiple sources have told Kotaku that the game will be released on November 8, as previous rumours have suggested.

Following on moments after the events of Modern Warfare 2, the game's story will see players travel the world as both returning and all-new characters, including a Russian agent, SAS operative and AC-130 gunner.

The 15-mission-long campaign will start with an invasion of Manhattan by the Russian army, and later cover Dubai, London, Paris, India and Sierra Leone.

Story presentation similar to previous games in the series, with short story sequences and regular cuts to new locations. Playable vehicular segments will include tanks and an AC-130 gunship.

Co-operative mode Spec Ops will return with two mission types, Survival and Mission, while the online multiplayer component will feature a "chunky list" of maps.

The title has been co-developed by Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software, with the game largely complete and finishing touches now being applied.

While Activision has yet to officially announce the game, it recently told investors that a new Call of Duty title would be revealed in the coming weeks.

COD will have to be something special for me to even consider getting this over BF3. I'm getting fed up of companies re-hashing 3-4 year old games.

Multiplayer maps and locations for Modern Warfare 3 have been revealed, according to a report.

Sources told Kotaku that the game will ship with 20 maps for regular online play, with locations including Brooklyn, New York, Paris and the London Underground.

Arenas in Special Ops mode have also been listed, and will see missions split up into Mission and Survival-based modes.

Mission will be specific objectives similar to Spec Ops in Modern Warfare 2, while Survival will have players take on waves of enemies.

It was also suggested that the core online multiplayer experience will offer new gameplay features.

The first details for Modern Warfare 3 were leaked earlier today, including story events, campaign locations and new characters.

Rip off of the MW2 trailer much?

I'd love to be surprised by a developer one day saying "I think we've reached the pinnacle of this franchise of games, so we going to leave on a high and not release any more."
