How sexist are you?

My old job was working for a small company ~20 people, only of which 2 were girls. Now it's the other way round and personally I prefer that. Mind you, it wasn't so much down to gender, more to do with religion in my old place like as if they were having a converting contest.

No of course there isn't, but it's recognising that those woman are there and could do a job is the point though. A saturday night out in my hometown and unfortunately I see plenty of them :p

I said your post was sexist, not you.

I've read this before as well. Apparently the male genes are more disposed to being one of the extremes, ie either very good, clever etc or very bad, stupid etc.

Hence why you tend to get more male geniuses but also more morons.

I work in a department that has 4 males and around 24 women (old ugly overweight women before any talk of smashing back doors in). The women are lazy, bitchy and some completely useless at the job. The lads are the only ones that knuckle down and get the work done, we have to do all the bad jobs, all the lifting etc. etc.. I've worked in this enviroment for several years and think it has made me despise women in the working world. Is it that bad everywhere?

Outside of work I'm not that bad but have girls who are friends who are just as bitchy. So I feel I am quite sexist.

It's easy to get sucked into the negativity of others - that's what they need, and feed off. Stay above it, and keep smiling. You'll either do some good, or at least get them raging inside :)
 
Men are better than women because for 1 week every month women are illogical, emotional and very irritable!

Well, more so than usual :P

If I get told to do something by my manager I kind of have to do it. Also if I didn't it wouldn't get done. I once stated my belief that the department was sexist in a team meeting queue 20 women screaming at me the opposite.

It is my only job to date though so only one experiance.
 
Men are sometimes unintentionally sexist because although women may be good at something, that something is probably a task we don't appreciate or understand.

I can lift rocks, women are puny... wait, childbirth...

I may have stayed late in the office but I probably didn't do the shopping.
 
Have you taken your complaint higher? If you seriously have a problem with the way you're being treated at work and your manager simply won't listen to you then take it further. I know it's not always that simple, but if it's a real issue it's the only way it's ever going to change.

And I'm not sexist, I just believe the truth - that women are inferior.
 
I don't think I'm sexist. I respect women and treat them as eq... oh ffs brb girlfriends escaped from the kitchen
 
I don't believe that women are an inferior sex to men, but there are some things that men [generally] do better than women. Spatial awareness and mechanical reasoning being a main one in my mind.

That said, women are better at empathy and all that emotional nonsense but that doesn't parallel park a car.
 
Both sexes are better at different things which is a fact. I get pretty annoyed when I have to listen to someone (female or male who thinks they are fighting sexism) claim that women are as good as men at sports. When I was 14 and playing hockey we had one girl good enough to get into the team and she was playing england under 18's at the time (she was 14 too). We were all county level and she was not as good as the guys still.

Its just idiocy to think that men and women are the same. We are built to excel in different areas. Its not sexist to state the truth.
 
My main supervisor (PhD) is a woman, and she is excellent at her job. In fact, she works more than most of the department combined - professor, researcher, supervisor to about 15 PhD students and a pro-vice chancellor of the university to top it all off. The head of department in Engineering is a Dame as well, so women are pretty well represented around here!
