Thank you guys so far.

Last few questions (hopefully):

3. How does the Asrock Z68 EXTREME4 compare to Asus P8Z68-V PRO Z68? (in short which one's better)
4. BeQuiet Pure Power L7 530W Power Supply, worth £6 more over the Corsair Builder Series CX 430W?

On paper the Asus is better as it has more VRM power, but that's the only difference, all the connections are the same.

I would say it's worth £6, but that's just my opinion lol

Edit: the Asus also has Bluetooth built in.

They are the same board.

You edited the first question, get the cheaper ASrock, they are owned by ASUS too.

£35 more for the ASUS!!! not worth it.

Right the Asus p8Z68 is on pre-order. Give's me a little time to think sensibly.

Looking at a price point how would you rate the following board:

Asrock Z68 PRO3 (£40 difference). Any difference performance wise? longevity? Compared to the boards already mentioned in this thread.

I'll order the all the other parts.

Compare there, against the other Asrock here,

http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=Z68 Extreme4

the bigger Asrock has,

3 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots (PCIE2/PCIE4: single at x16 or dual at x8/x8 mode; PCIE5: x4 mode)
2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots
2 x PCI slots

VS

1 x PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot (blue @ x16 mode)
2 x PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots
1 x PCI slot

2 x Rear USB 3.0 ports by Etron EJ168A, support USB 1.0/2.0/3.0 up to 5Gb/s

Can you recommend one for me please?

If I got the Sony Optiarc drive (OEM) you recommended earlier would I need to order a cable?
