but really, K&M is the way to go. Set your laptop up on a desk and marathon it - if for no other reason than you'll be less tempted to swing the camera around to have a look at places if you're using a controller. And remember, pretty much the best PC offering before this game was Quake, with Goldeneye on the N64 - you should really try and cast your mind back to those days to get the most out of it.

As others have said, probably one of the best gaming experiences of my life.

But at least I am now!

Yeh saw that Black Mesa version but theres no ETA and its already been a few years since they started..... Apparently the leaked version only had the first level complete but not finished and the rest not done..... Anyway stayed away from that as its completely incomplete.

Aye that's all I meant mate, that you might have a few years left before you pop your clogs to play BM, because at this rate we'll be pretty lucky to see it before we snuff it :p
 
If it makes the OP feel any better, im the same position, although im a tiny bit younger(20) but i feel bad for waiting so long to play it, only started it the other day
 
Cool, how far are you into it?
My gaming sessions are not that long due to being busy with friends and family....
Currently just escaping the lab thats been locked down, am sure thats like 1-2% into it!
 
Best game I have ever played. Spent hours upon hours playing it and all the expansions.

I remember being given TFC to play by my mate, that was epic.
 
You know, I bought HL back in 99 because I played TFC at a mates. Still have never completed the single player or played it for more than half hour!
 
You made me do it, im d/lding hl1 and im gonna play it again one more time :)

hl not working :( (win7 64bit)

in some ways i guess its best i not play it again, its all up here ( in my peanut brain :)

You lucky, lucky *******. I can still remember to this day Christmas 1998, sitting down in my room on Christmas Day and taking a little train ride :) What a game.
Hmm, I was only 15 then. Nearly half my life ago! (Heh). Get off my lawn, etc.
 
i remember playing this just after release and iam only 21 now lol :cool: brilliant game the puzzles will keep you amused they took me ages whne i tried it but was only young lol only other old school game i think was better was quake 3 arena that is my best game ever ;)
