6990+6970 tri-fire...

Yes single 24 inch screen.

Most games i play do over 200fps but not all Crysis for instance drops to 80fps or so as a example.

My last cards were 5970 + 5870 and tbh a single 5870 is fine and all i need really but i like new tech and buy it just cos i can.

Wish i had the room for 3 screens as Iracing is what i play the most and would benefit from a 3 screen rig greatly.
 
When i load a game i want to max all settings and never see slow down ever as it spoils the gaming experience for me when it gets choppy and when playing shooters or racing sims fps mean a lot.

It is a waste tbh! Three of the latest ATI GPUs driving a single 24" screen? Massive eye roll. I think you don't want it to be a waste because you only have one screen too lol! Oh and a plasma

And if he is actually a true PC builder, it won't matter that it is still going strong in 3 years as the urge the upgrade should take over. New GPU every 6 months, 3 years means up to 6 new editions to the ATI family!

That's absolutely fair but EF would look sick with 3 x 24" screens. Just a thought

has i said it's not a waste for the long tarm, not everybody as the money or wants to keep buying new graphic cards every time a new card releases / or maybe needs it to last 2years+.

a true PC builder doesn't mean they buy every new released card ect..

a new series releases every year, if the person has the top end card in the series he wouldn't buy the lower card in the same series that was released 6 months~ later.

just so u know im running 2 screens, and oh it's lcd, not plasma, get it right...

the reason why i got a 6990 + 6950 is because i had 2 6950 and then amd gave me a 6990 has a gift, so i sold 1 6950.. plus has i don't have money to spend often it'll means it will last me a long time.

just because u think it's a waste doesn't mean other people think the same.....
