Why did you go from a dual 5870 to a 8800GTS?

:P

I sold the 5870s (£250 each) before they plumited in price and had the 8800GTS as a spare so dropped that in waiting on the 580s - got bored and got the 460s then waited until "Big River" coughed up with the cheap 580s and sold the 460s :D

I like to keep my GPUs going for as long as they can before I upgrade. The 8800 series were good performing cards for a long time, so after each one died, I just bought another one cheap. Most impressive card I owned was the 9800 Pro - I never had seen a GPU so powerful before lol.

ATI 9800Pro
Nvidia 7900GS
Nividia 8800GTX
Nvidia 8800GTX SLI
ATI 5870
Nvidia GTX470 (traded to this because it was easier to watercool + scales better under water)
