Most of my cards were experimental in my old XPS 5 just kept pushing the boundaries with GPUs. Then i had a PC built for me back in 2006, and i had so many issues with it i took it apart LOL

From then on i started to build my own PCs and will continue to do so :)

Hey

Old integrated desktop thing
7600GT AGP (not been in this game long)
8600GT (Gaming PC build)
8600GT SLI
8800Gts 320MB (seemed much faster than SLI 8600)
Hopefully GTX 480 or 570 Soon

Well, ignoring the Cirrus Logic clockwork ISA stuff, I suppose I can start at...

Diamond Stealth 3400
(Orchid Righteous 3DFX)
Voodoo 3 3000
Geforce 3 ti 200
Geforce 4 ti 200
Gigabyte Radeon 9600 Pro
Connect 3D Radeon x800pro - First card I bios modded. That was brown trousers moment! Lasted me 4 years though and was sold for good money.
Asus Radeon HD4850
Sapphire Radeon HD5770 - Can't say I was overly impressed by the Vapor-X business. Still a good card though.
Sapphire Radeon HD6870 - First release day GFX card I've purchased. It was huge! Sadly too huge when I downsized. :(
XFX Radeon HD6850 - Utter garbage. Worst card I've bought.
Sapphire Radeon HD6850 - Much better. But being a Sapphire, it would be.
Sapphire Radeon HD6450 (1GB) - Purchased for my HTPC. Rather cute and very impressive.

I'm always surprised by how few cards I've actually owned. If we started listing motherboards, well that would probably be a much longer list. I've killed many in my time. :o

Something onboard I can't remember at first, but:

Random Onboard...,
6200LE - for media pc
8400GS
XFX 5770 - utter crap, thanks to xfx. good when it worked.
GTX560 Ti - utter... fantastic :)

Verto FX5200 64MB AGP
XFX 6600GT 128MB AGP (served me well, only good XFX card I've had)
Some VIA onboard
PNY 8800GT 256MB - MOSFET caught fire
Nvidia 7900GS 256MB - temporary card that ended up serving me years :p
Nvidia 8800GTX 768MB - bought as faulty and worked for a few weeks actually. Couldn't repair (had not the tools at that time) but lasted long enough to get me back into gaming.
HIS HD 4870 (x2) - both died after a few weeks
Onboard GF 7050
BFG 8800GT 512MB, bought from MM a few months ago and turned into a Zotac

why were the xfx cards crap?

Google "XFX failure rate" :D
