If it was registered early enough, iirc some 51 plates are under the old ved system.

I have a 2000 plate golf and cost just under £120 for like 6 months. My friend has a 2001/2002 golf same car and engine. But is a lot more. Its to do with what has already been said.

Also my cat converter was £100 cheaper as they changed the law in 2001

cracked cylinder head, try and avoid it if you can its the best part of 12 grand to fix it

currently in negoitiations with Porsche to see how much I can get them to chip in to repair it

£160 for the year for a 1.25 fiesta y reg. Girlfriends sisters piece of poo polo 1997 is a 1.4 and LESS on tax than my beautifully maintained car.

Hate road tax. Paying for the privelage of potholes, lack of parking, i'll thought out junctions and the untaxed and bicycles.
