I reckon it's a leak or breach of some kind as I've been having the same problems. Just changed my password and it seems to have stopped.
 
How could some Nigerian hack your hotmail, i dont even think they have computers over there. i dont get how someone would have that knowledge
 
I currently use NOD32 business edition and standard windows firewall.

Would it be a good idea to install MS security essentials too? (and maybe a better firewall?)

I run malware-bytes anti malware every now and then too
 
same thing happened to someone in my family. the person almost got away with it if they hadn't luckily said a location in the world close to the person they were talking to as the person insisted they met but the hacker denied it which wouldn't have happened if the account owner was the person asking for help and money. they thought it was due to using a cyber cafe a few days earlier but maybe not as this was in the USA but the hacker sounds identical in what they're doing.
 
I ran a tracert on 41.155.114.168 and came up with this 196.3.62.19

Whats next on the list. Would be good to hack a hacker. Maybe get him to put a loaf of Hovis on head?!
