Black vans for under £3k

I'd be pretty stuffed by now if I had no work. In fact, the amount of work has given me the capital to pursue this venture.

Thanks for your concern though.

Vans are, pretty much, white. Thats the colour vans are. Vans in other colours are quite hard to find - so by insisting on a particular colour you are severely limiting your options, not a good idea when you are trying to buy a van on a low budget.

Buy a white one - it'll make life a whole lot easier.

Please note that as this is a business venture, all advice is given on a commercial basis as automotive constultancy services. We'll invoice you, our credit terms are 30 days net.

Mike, why do you need a van?

So what is it for?

Like what?

Seriously Mike, answer the question. "Spec me a black van" is a deliberately vague statment, and you know it. You simply cannot have posted it without knowing people would want to know what for, which means you posted it secretly deep down wanting to talk about your new business venture. Just get on with it, spill the beans or don't bother. "spec me a black van" hasn't got you very much so far, so you may as well lay down the purpose of this van and the need for its colour to get some proper advice from people.

Unless of course, you just wanted to start another 'MikeHiow Thread', in which case, well done, mission complete.

I'm perfectly capable of determining whether a van is suitable for my needs, I posted the thread to see if perhaps there was a model I had missed where perhaps there were some black ones made.

There is good reason for secrecy, but all will be revealed once everything is finalised,

tbh with criteria like under 5k and black its more a case of what you can get, than what you want.

Get a white one and get it vinyl wrapped like the rest of the trade ?

Hi guys.

Spec me a car with at least 4 doors. It must be blue. Won't tell you anything more about my needs and wants because I'm perfectly capable of determining whether a car is suitable for my needs.

I'm just not capable of clicking 'Blue' in Autotrader under 'Colour' therefore I want you to do that for me, because hey, you can't offer me anything else given I'm not going to tell you anything about my needs beyond the requirement for '4 doors' :p

To those of you unfamiliar with MikeHiow traditions on this forum, the above statements mean Mike is currently forming some hair brained scheme of a business venture that is likely full of flaws. Those flaws, along with the plan itself will be revealed over the next few days or weeks, followed by some back tracking and U Turning from Mike on what he said or didn't say in relation to this story.

Stay tuned to find out how the next MikeHiow story unfolds, only on OcUK.

Well whatever it is, don't forget to get insurance as I am sure the old "If I make a mistake it's not my problem" trick might not work.

Go find me the colour option on autotrader vans.

Go find me the colour option on autotrader vans.

You just type 'Black' into the search box. Heck, the 'example' text is 'White Transit Tipper', indicating how to search for colour.

But the fact there is no specific colour selector on there tells you how much the colour of a van simply... isn't the point of a van.

Serious reply.

Can you not just buy a white van and get it wrapped black?
was about to post this, as above though, the colour of a van doesn't take the same priority the colour of a car would hence the option not being there.
