Black vans for under £3k

If you can get to north london area then I know a person who sells vans for a living and currently has a couple of black vans in stock, a Transit connect and a expert I believe.

I'm not sure of the forums rules on advertising so I won't post website/details unless given permission.

You would need a T220 Connect to take a payload of 825kg max, remember this includes the driver and all your gear though. A T200 only does 625kg.

Oh and it won't move with all that weight in, the engine isn't powerful enough, it struggles with 500-600kg.

The witch hunt is getting boring.

Mike has said he isn't wanting to give anymore info away, pointless de-railing the thread and turning a 'Mike' thread into a 'Mike' thread by doing so. Let Mike do that if he so wants, but bit pointless hunting for more information just to laugh at the guy.

Actually asking for more information is a perfectly legitimate response to a "Spec me a black van" thread. Surely without knowing what kind of load it will be carrying, how long the journeys will be it's impossible to suggest anything. The requirements for a van that is going to be for example a IOW to mainland courier is going to be a lot different to that of a local dog grooming business.

Other color vans than white are rare in the UK ? Odd! Sure white is a more dominant color but I doubt even half the vans are white, a lot are black/grey/silver/dark red/green/blue etc too...

Fair enough, the larger vans ( spriter, master, etc) are dominantly white, but in the transit/transporter/vivaro size, I highly doubt they're a majority.

Have you really just come into a thread as someone living outside of the UK to tell us all the percentage of vans which are or aren't white?

Where did you learn to read ?

I just said it was odd imo, then commented how it is around here.

I haven't said how many vans are white there, I just think it's very odd if true that most are white  and why.

Why do you even post here? Seriously?

Most of our vans are white - we dont really care if you 'doubt' this or not. They just are.

Why though, why do people pick such a boring color ?

They are business tools - they don't pick any colour, so it arrives in white. It's easier to signwrite, it's cheaper to buy, its just how it is here.

We even have our own phrase in popular culture - 'white van man'.

So kindly don't try and tell us what does and doesn't happen somewhere you've barely visited.

Don't see an issue. I know a chap who would do development/php work for me. If I were talking to a potential client I might be tempted to say 'my developer'.

I wouldn't either, normally. It's just funny coming from Mike as he seems to have the entire Isle on his books, the way he refers to everyone as 'his'. I don't have an issue with it at all, as it's no skin off my nose how he refers to his local decal garage. I just find it amusing.

I would go for these black vans:

well under budget and low mileage

Wheres that Australian guy with the pickup and Ralf Wiggan in his sig? I think he got his pickup (sorry, Ute :)) in white as any other colour was an added delay and an extra cost.

If a company over here orders a batch of vans they could choose colour. Otherwise they are just all produced white for individual buyer purchases. Its a van, unless you have some corporate identity to uphold (which an individual running his own detailing business certainly does not) then the colour of the van is totally insignificant.

I disagree. If anything you want to avoid the "white van man" image and also have something that doesn't stand out as much as a white van does. If you're going to have decals then the background colour can make a big difference.

I agree with the poster who mentioned people gunning for Mike, sure he posts BS at times but some of you seem to get off on picking apart his posts word for word, it's quite sad.
