Black vans for under £3k

Yes but if things aren't moving at a sufficient pace after one year then I'm stuck with a van that may not be making me enough money and I'm stuck with for 3 years.

Then id be questioning whether you actually need a van?

Surely start out of your car and work upwards, If it all flops then no big loss?

Sounds like a knackered old van is a potential hurdle.

So you're suggesting I take out a three year lease in case a £3k van could be unreliable?

I'm assuming this is based on your massive experience of running vans? Will you be providing the same advice next time someone wants to be a £3k car?

I guess what I'm actually suggesting is you stop dreaming, realise that really this is, like most of your other schemes, doomed to abject failure, and stop pretending you are some sort of amazing expert at everything you ever do when in reality, from the numerous ridiculous threads you post, it seems the opposite is the case.

But then you'll never do this because you genuinelly beleive everything you say. There comes a time when you have to realise that it's you, not us, that is the reason all these threads end up the same way. It's not as if you were unfairly picked for the lulz. Nobody else ever generates this sort of stuff so regularly. Come on, ask yourself why.

Being a lemming behind a desk may work for you, but it does not for me. You may continue sucking off the next manager for what you deem success and I'll go make my own.

If I'm not mistaken, most of the more successful here owe it to running their own business, do they not?

I know your type well, the type of person who is too afraid to actually take risks to get what they want, who would happily continue living an average existence that is safe. If that's what you want then I'm not going to tell you that you're wrong, but I do not expect to be told I'm wrong for wanting something more out of life.

I get the impression that this same sentiment is generated everywhere. Like you having an entire "warning, projects may not actually happen" subforum created specifically because of you...

Ah yes, I forgot all about this.

Infact sod it, I'll post that as well.

About a year ago we were actually emailed be a member of Mike's IOW car forum (The one where he knows everyone on the Island who is into cars from) explaining how amusing he'd found the threads and how basically, Mike does the same thing on some private forum they all have, so much so they all have a set of acronyms named after him, and a subforum as per the above.

Yes - thats right - somebody here (Not me) actually was emailed out of the blue in this way by somebody none of us knew or had ever conversed with before.

It seems the same thing happens to poor old Mike wherever he posts.

Sorry Mike, I'd kept this one to myself for nearly a year (It was about a week prior to that M3 thread) in the interests of not going OTT, but honestly, it's all getting too much now. Deep down you are a nice guy with plenty to contribute, just drop the rubbish and the BS and the silly u-turns and the cheese.

You are absolutely right and I have gone for one of those three ;)

Must be Gtechniq then. Probably the best choice as it developed for marine applications. You should check out Wolfs if it's not too late, better finish, cheaper in bulk but not quite as durable...not a bad thing for a detailer who will rely on repeat trade and top-ups. Doesn't seem to stay in stock very long...I'm pretty sure Russ has tried both.

Here we go, the textbook fox argument structure. Argument has failed so we'll go back to defaming to discredit the op instead.

You could set your watch by it.

I admire the ambition and drive mate, really I do, but you're got to make SURE that this isn't going to be flop, especially if you're in as a bad place as you've implied in the past. Every single business out there ever started was started with something with a bit of drive but way more have failed than succeeded. I'm not saying don't do it, the opposite really, I'm staying double and triple check that this is not going to fail, for the sake of you and your family. When you're implying that a large chuck of your 'image' and advertisement is going to be coming from an old £3k Black transit I've got to worry a little bit.

Yes Mike, because everything you have tried so far has been a great success?

Ever though about a desk job yourself? You never know, you might even like it AND it might pay consistently for a long period of time, avoiding the ups and downs you seem to generate a lot of.

Although I expect this would ruin your ability to attention whore crazy scheme threads on here. Maybe you could post "Spec me a stapler, must be back, but I wont tell you any more details as its for a 'business venture'" threads instead?

It's not defamation at all - somebody *was* emailed. Where do you think some of the others picked up those acronyms from back in that M3 thread that you were suddenly very interested in the source of? It wasn't by chance.

Does that happen on [super-injunction prevents me from saying] as well? Or do people follow you around posting WPM just to annoy you?

I feel gutted that I am on holiday and I can't read through the 12 pages of Mikehiow goodness, because apparently my gf thinks 'its antisocial'. If only she knew how much awesomeness these threads usually contain. :(
