Have fun!

I've been enjoying going there for the last few weekends, can't wait to get a bike again now so I can go again!
I did the red and true blue again today.
I wasn't really feeling it in the morning doing the red, not too sure why. It was busier than it has been, quite a few young'uns out (is it half term?) and I got held up by an older guy who didn't want to GTFO in the single track section, my rear tyre could have done with some more air.
They are repairing/altering some of the best bits of the track, and there was a diversion which took you over some of the black organic rooty soil that was waterlogged. There was a big section that I saw a few people had rode, but I put my front wheel in and it disappeared half way up to the brake disc. Decided that I would carry the bike instead since I had an audience of a few guys having a drink. Was the right choice as it was super boggy and would never have got through with the tyres I had on.
There were some new berms later on that were quite fast where the tracks been diverted slightly, enjoyed those.
Also realised in the jump section later in the lap (before the huge black drop), I have been doing the black rated jumps, instead of the red chicken run. Think I might give the full black run a try next time now I know that.
I took about a minute off my previous time but the route was slightly shorter, having to carry the bike and the slower soil bit equals it out really. Strong headwinds added about a minute onto the climb out in the open, really tough when it was a strong gale.
After lunch even though I felt like going I set out on the true blue. Last time my legs were popped and I just sat down for most of the downhill and it was a bit meh. Stuck some more air in my rear tyre first!
This time I really pumped hard and pedal'd like a mofo after the climb, really kept the speed up. It was a revelation, went from behind just an average ride to being enjoyable. Took 2 minutes off the time I did previously, with a slower climb to the top, by about 2.5 minutes due to the strong winds.
Rewarded myself with a monster piece of chocolate cake afterwards! It was as big as the plate it came on and pretty damn tasty! Heard some guys saying that their friend had to go to A&E, not sure what happened there!

Glad to hear you have managed to get off the ground! Just need to learn how to get more height, which is the boat I am in at the moment.
EDIT:
OCUK 10 hour endurance team to enter Llandegla event in August anyone!?
