haha i almost spat my drink out when reading that weescott, i saw the first bit an thought, oh bugger......iv just spent out money on a crap bike, only to scroll down an see u were joking haha, just looked at the price of them, 550 notes in halfords.....boy am i getting a good deal on mine hehe

Wow!

That looks totally awesome. I have heard that there were a lot of traveling folk there recently, have they moved or been moved on now?

What are the facilities like for parking (cost?) and pies?

I have Monday free.... hmmmm!

They were still there last weekend when I passed on the way to my parents sadly. Facilities wise there's space to park at the bottom of the hill or if you're cheeky (and don't have a low car) you can park about 50 yards down from the entrance up the hill. You'll be able to pick up a pie in Bacup but it's not the nicest of places.

Well, done a 6 hour endurance race today. BONKed at 4 hours, which was weird. extremely dehydrated and I thought all i needed was energy bars and gels.
Which is a shame as I’m not a n00b when it comes to races. After my Clic 24 2 weeks ago I jumped on the bike thinking this will be easy. - Bad strategy!
had 20mins off the bike to neck some food and drink a litre of water with noon tabs. felt right as rain and.... well tbh on fire. Got my fastest lap and grinning again.

Moral of the story:

Energy Gels give you farts and are rubbish. You need real food especialy on an endurance race. my opinion of course.

I think it's a personal thing. Some people just don't get on with gels.

I bought the Torq energy gels and thought they worked well for me. 2 other pals liked them too. One pal couldn't stop farting after consuming the gels though. So I don't think you are a wierdo....well not for that reason anyway :p

Keep your homo references out of this thread, sicko!

I did hear he liked 6" of a straightish nature. Just like his frame!

Right, to re-phrase my earlier question: if you were buying those tyres I'm looking at, which size would you go for? 1.90/2.00? :p

(I'm a bit lost.)

I'd get the 2.00 as I wouldn't want to even attempt any fireroad/gravel with 1.9s so I really would feel limited to the road.. Although I personally think you should get a pair of nobby nics and go and throw it around some trails somewhere :p.

grr picking up my bike is going to be a lil later than i thought, i was up at 9 on a sunday morning expecting to get it around 11, now gota wait till 3!
