My parents are 10 years apart, and it's doesn't seem particularly unusual.

Bad idea in the long run but fine for a bit of fun. Dont let yourself get sucked into the risk of something serious.

Think about the practicalities, when you are 50 she will be 65, and looking like haggard old granny. When it comes to having kids, be aware that over the age of 40 there is a much higher risk of birth defects, pregnancy complications and downs syndrome.

I think it'll be annoying having a pensioner for a wife when you are 45?

You'll then only be about 65-70ish when she starts to fade and you'll end up left Forever Alone in your old age.

I don't think people really think about it when they bang on about how amazing it is having partners who are 20 years older than them.

Whatever makes them happy, I guess. I'm 2 years older than mine and wouldnt change it

Why give up the chance to have a nice late teens early 20something when you are 20? Because unless you are rich they wont be interested in you when you are 40!
