Black vans for under £3k

No, and I've neither said or implied that. It's an addition to the correction stuff and a great way to sell corrections and build a reputation faster, too.

I'm not even looking for jobs any more, I'm doing just fine on the freelance stuff now the ball is rolling, but I have a lot of spare time still that could be better utilised to make more money doing something I really enjoy.

You make it sound like this is a chore with your demontivational (is that a word?) posts - how many people get to get a job doing something they already love? ( this is different to just enjoying your job)

FYI. Doing something you love as a job, day in, day out can seriously suck the fun out of it. Sometimes it can hurt just that little bit more because you sit there and think 'Damn, I used to enjoy doing this'. I know you might be difference but it is something to bare in mind :).

I do agree so some extent, but it also depends on what you are doing. I've also experienced finding thing fun until you end up doing it 9-5...

If you are a musician, for example, surely being in a successful band doing touring would be preferable to just playing the odd gig on the weekend?

As I said it depends on what the job involves...

Mike I was thinking of getting some of the Gtechniq's gear. Would you recommend it at this sort of price point? After something that will give 'good' results with relative ease.

Their polish system is absolutely brilliant IMO - the only downside is the dust, but this is not unmanageable. It really is an easy system for beginners, but has the performance to be up there with the professional kit.

Their sealant system (C1) isn't for everyone - it isn't an easy application, but should easily last 18 months although it's beading properties won't last quite that long and it doesn't leave the paintwork feeling smooth like a wax. You can layer something like C2 over the top which will give a better beading effect and a smooth finish, but it kind of defeats the point of the self-cleaning properties C1 has.

C2 on it's own is worth a look - it's pegged to last around 8 months and is an absolute doddle to apply.

Pics look better, well done. Glad you took onboard some of the advice here for once.

Have you considered contacting a local supermarket and seen if you can pitch in their car park? I always get my missus' car washed when I'm at the local Sainsburys.

Cool - More good reviews. Think I will give it a shot!

Thank you

Black RCZ on Monday fill the criteria? :)

C/P again....

RCZ vs. Jetwash - The Jetwash brush won (that and a year of visiting hand car washes).

50/50 on the bonnet prior to refinement.

Picture taking dropped off after this point - I just had a phone call from the owner saying he desperately needs it back first thing AM - that'll be me working on it until near 10PM then.....

The results:

Car washed, clayed, dried etc. (we've all seen cars washed a thousand times :P)
Two stage correction;
1. Mixture of P1/Menz Power Finish on Gtech Wool pad.
2. Menz FF on a Megs Mirror Finish - Finishing pad.

Anodised roof arches brought up with FF on a finishing pad.
More subtle places unreachable with the machine polished with blackhole.
Wheels sealed with PBW Wheel Seal (this really adds a lot to the satin finish!)
All topped off with Z2P.

For someone who "only wanted to know about black vans" and refused to discuss why, then argued about thread derailment for 17 pages, you sure are bumping this thread regularly...

Some people expressed an interest in the photography, I've taken these comments on board and I'm simply reporting back with the results.

I think your work is good - but probably un-done by those indoor pictures.
If you can get some outdoor pics on a sunny day - they will always look far better.
I don't ever claim to know anything about photography - but I know that the more (natural) light available the better!

p.s. good luck on finding a black van!

I think taking them in the unit is a good move in some ways, looks professional compared to some random persons drive, especially a nice clean unit like that. Would be better without the random clutter in the background though.
