335i v 330i v 330d

I saw an 08 reg 330i M Sport Auto (49k) including Idrive etc. for around £19k. What would you estimate (rough) a similar models selling price to be around summer next year?

Where did you see that? Thats well priced. Next year? Probably about £17k for that? It's hard to predict really, but it's not outrageous to suggest an 08 in a years time would be about the value of an 07 now.

A 2008/08 330i M Sport with Pro Nav and 19's has a Retail Value of £22k right now according to Glass's. The same car but on an 07 plate with a years more miles has a value of £18375 retail, though there was a specification change in late 07 when the engine was replaced with the newer and more economical N53.

Am I right in thinking the F30 production might lead to an E92 buyers market?
I think I may be off the mark considering the F32 is its real successor and most would upgrade to that rather than the F30.

I dont think the F30 will have much effect on E92 values - but they'll take a hammering at the top end once the F32 becomes established on the used market in 2014.

I've seen the second one advertised - it's cheap for a reason. Google the dealer name..

It's an 09 with HDD based Nav. There is nothing else like it this side of £25k..

I dont like black and I want a manual but if that was for sale anywhere else I'd have been on the phone, CIC iDrive is so awesome :D

A good deal is always>personal preference right? :)

My aim is next year summer/autumn to pick up a 330i Auto M Sport but will have to wait and see if it materialises.

Haha, you know what I mean :p

Black is just a pain to look after and it even when it's mint it hides the lines of the car, hides the little details on the front bumper, etc etc. I just dont like it in anything other than photos of other peoples clean cars, where it looks great :p

Probably in the region of 16-17k but it all depends on circumstances. I'm not quite sure my budget would quite cover an 08 330i especially as I want CIC iDrive.

You would quite easily get a 57 or 08 plate for that money I'd imagine.

CIC ones are a bit more complicated as almost none of the 58 plate cars have it. There are a few which do but for some reason, perhaps due to a huge amount of existing stock perhaps, it didnt appear in large numbers until March 2009 on the Coupe's.

58 plate Coupes with the older iDrive outnumber 58 plate Coupes with CIC 10:1 I'd say.

Ah I wasn't aware of that in which case I may just sacrifice CIC for the sake of that, as an 09 plate would probably be considerably more than my budget.

Well hopefully a 330i Manual will pop up on your radar sooner rather than later!

Edit: Would all 2008 registered 330i's be the newer 268bhp engine?

I still don't get the diesel thing though. I have no cabin rattle and my steering wheel certainly doesn't vibrate, nor does my gear stick (although that's an auto). Perhaps this is a 3series issue? Sure, you know mines a diesel at start up but the second it's moving it's not noticeable unless you hit the throttle hard.

Same here, my 3'er doesn't exhibit any of those traits, must have been a bad one.

Every single 3 series I have ever driven with a diesel engine has that unmistakable diesel vibe through the interior at idle. They all do it. Diesel owners must just blot it out or something. It's not exactly intrusive, but It's there.

I've had a 525d and a couple of 330d's over the last 10 years and yeah, they are very good nowadays but I agree with you tbh. As diesel popularity has increased the sentence used by owners for describing modern diesels seems to have lost a crucial section, which should read "yeah, it's absolutely amazing, for a diesel"
