Didn't really play COD4. Only completed the single player and didn't play online. MW2 and BLOPS are pretty much the same game. Just more maps to play. No doubt i'll be happy to retire those games though when MW3 is out. Not sure what your point is though. Do people who play FIFA 11 still play FIFA 10 when it's pretty much the same game?

What's your point? Nearly every game can be bought for £40 or cheaper online. PC games being around £25-30.

So you didn't bother playing the best of the lot online before it deteriorated into a mess of stupid perks and killstreaks and prestige? I don't really see how I can make the point more obvious. You readily pay £40+ each year for the same game you already own just because everyone else does, what more needs to be said?

I don't play Fifa. And at any rate, its a completely different thing, football games follow the real world so things change each season. Anyway, going by the Fifa thread that popped up here, they are actually improving the game not just releasing it over and over with minor changes.

I was mostly referring to the consoles. Though I don't doubt they'd try and push the PC price up once a new gen of consoles hit.

If you actually looked in the FIFA thread you'll see that they aren't including some physics in the PC version that the consoles are getting in the next game. Go cry in that thread about how EA are a devil worshiping evil money making corporation because it seems you don't play COD anymore either, yet are happy to cry in this thread about how how crap COD games are.

I have looked in that thread and frankly I couldn't care less. I agree with the people who've said Fifa is and always will be a console game, not to mention there are statements saying that PC might be getting the new engine anyway.
 
a lot of games on the market are more or less the same with just a few new features. People usually single out COD for this because it's such a big name and they set the benchmark high when they released MW1. Football Manager is practically the same game every year and no one slates Sports Interactive for it. Likewise, FIFA, Pro Evolution soccer, GTA, Splinter Cell, Street Fighter are the "same" game with every release but with better graphics. To the hardcore gaming community, liking COD is somehow frowned upon. If you hate COD so much go and play Battlefield then since it's so unique :)

But then the protest would be against making depictions of terrorism illegal. It seems right to me that you should be allowed to include anything you want in your entertainment media as long as it is not outlawed due to common and lawful consensus (which applies to things like child pornography because it causes harm). Getting into the intricacies of what should or should not be censored should require the same examination and subsequent legal enforcement (or lack of, as appropriate) as any censorship law (like the laws disallowing racially inflammatory comments), not some case-by-case media-fuelled farce.

If the game is so bad, don't post in here ****ing whining about the game, don't buy it and go and play something else you do like.

its always the bad players that slate games, you know why?, you only going to like that game when your winning, no one likes to be owned every game ;)

oh and as for COD. Want to play it personally, just curious about the storyline. Then maybe go spend a few hours showing kids how to rack up kill streaks.

Mmm I would place money on Evilsod supporting a skill based game like Quake3/UT/CS 1.6 rather than the way COD has become a complete noob console game with AAA AWESOME PERKS for the kids to go wild about.

Well he's been playing Brink and from what i've seen of that it's just another generic cartooney shooter for kids...
