Had my feet eaten by Garra Rufa fish

It's enough of a concern to get it banned across most of the USA apparently.

I wonder if it's banned in the state of Nevada? Because getting your end away with a prostitute isn't unsanitary at all ...

I have had it done. Mother fancied it so we got her a voucher for it (happy feet in meadowhall) as part of her birthday. Went with my GF, mother and sister (yes I felt very gay). It was alright, like a soft tingly feeling after. Felt a vit weird having tiny fish eating my feet and wriggling between my toes. Mom loved it, GF thought it was horrible and my sister (who is 26 btw) spent the entire time trying to discreeetly kick the fish away as the hated the feeling.

I walked past a beauticians once and there was a guy sitting in the window front with his girlfriend having it done. He looked at me, I shook my head disapprovingly and he just laughed. He knew he lost man points that day.

:D.

Awesome, nothing like a bro-moment.

Did this in Thailand last year. No real reason, just to see.

Not a nice feeling, not horrible either. Don't do it if you are horrendously ticklish. Would I do it again? No.

If you need to actual benefit it claims to give go for a proper foot scrub.

I was trying to find a picture of that woman in the directline ads
with "Shark Attack" written on it to illustrate your point, but my googlefu failed me.

Pity, that's the sort of thing I was thinking of.

Doesn't exactly qualify as a 'huge risk' does it?

I'd be pretty sure Gayjin was being a touch sarcastic there. :)

Was shopping the other day and got dared by my daughter so had my feet eaten by these little fish anyone else done it? it honestly isnt too bad, like a spar jet all over your feet. they spray your feet with some fluid which I presume sends them nuts. was £5 for 5 mins so not too bad.

anyone else had it done?

rotters

I haven't tried it yet but I keep seing adverts for it which re-kindled an old memory / interest many years ago when I read about it in one of the Sunday supplements.

Also, despite their assertions to the contrary, these fish here have not been fed on anything except old skin. Surely that cant be good for them.

If the fish are fed properly with actual healthy fish food, then they're not likely to go for dead skin on feet unfortunately.
Have read that a lot of the places that offer these treatments have a reasonably high turn-over on fish (compared to those in your average fish tank) so it doesn't seem to be good for the fish.
Saying that, it's just us people taking advantage of animals at their expense again.

its a treatment for lazy people, if i have dry skin on my feet, i can usually get rid of pretty easily after a shower (suppose you could have a foot bath or a full body bath if its a lot) which softens up the hard/dry skin and it comes off within a few seconds of using a foot file directly after the shower.

dry/hard skin can cause a lot of foot pain, so much so that you find it painful to walk in the worst cases. so its best to just look after your body on a regular basis.
