My cats has not come home, help please.

Without wanting to turn this in to a cat v dog thread, next time buy a dog. They won't just run off and will want to remain as part of the family rather than go roaming.

11 months and never been out wow thats just mad/cruel. ... natural habitat is outside, let this be a lesson to you.

The previous owners may have been cruel keeping the cat indoors (but you don't know their circumstances), but clearly the OPs intention was to allow her outdoors no doubt after the visit to the vets tomorrow to get her chipped!

To add to the above comments, one of my cats didn't return home one evening - he then appeared again after a few days. We think he actually got shut in a garage without a neighbour realising.

Some really harsh comments here though and you can't help but laugh at how perfect some members think they are.

I had one run away on me that was just 8 months old. I'd only had her about 6 months in total. I was devastated at the time and know what it feels like. I ended up getting two ginger tabbies 3-4 months later and they were much nicer than the cat I lost, sad to say but true. They didn't scratch the arms and wrists off me and were just more social all round. All three were rescue cats but I'm guessing the one I lost had a slightly harder life than most given how aggressive she was...

Anyway, fingers crossed your cat comes back! ;)

Have you asked the previous owner to keep an eye out for it? That may be where it returns to.

Where did you get her from? If it's another home (as opposed to a rescue centre) then have you asked round there? She might have found her way back there. Might be unlikely though if she was a house cat there too, she might not know what to look/smell for when outside.

The last owner lives about 2miles away from me, I have asked them to keep eye out just in case she does show up.

Just found out were our cat is a ginger female she is worth a lot of money as ginger females are rare to get, don't know if that is true!.

Depends. I get told ginger girls are rare but I have one. My mum has one. My auntie had one.

Unless she's a breed I don't think anyone is going to steal her for that reason. They are rarer than ginger boys, but that doesn't make them any more expensive.

You might as well know... I'm very happy for you, as well. :p

whilst you have my sympathy and glad it worked out ok and that what im about to say isnt linked to you. but anyone that keeps a cat indoors its whole life should be done for animal cruelty

to be honest id of expected that cat to never come back or to of thrown itself under the first car it saw out of sheer boredom.

so now this has happened perhaps you should let it out once in a while?

So ture i know, i have to ring up the vets 2day and get her booked in again for her to be chipped.

You need to keep her in now for several weeks, so she can get used to where she lives. When we got ours the vets and cat protection said up to 4 months before letting them out. You're very lucky she came back after such a short time owning her.
