*****Ultimate Football Manager 11*****

Anyone else think that they need to work on the conversations between manager and players? It's annoying telling a player well done in his last match and to keep it up, and then him saying:

"I'm surprised you were impressed with my last performance I didn't think I played well"

and then you saying something nice such as:

"If you think do even better then I can't wait to see it"

And then him saying:

"I stand by what I said, I think I should leave now as this conversation isn't going very well."

I just save my game often now tbh. I'll not load it up agian if i lose or get an injury but i'll not have an unhappy player just because the conversation mechanics are so odd at times.

I've found though that it seems to happen more if the rating was less than 8. So now I only praise the performance if its an 8 and praise recent form if its above 7.5.

The other thing which annoys me is the tutoring. If Alex Ferguson asked Scholes to tutor someone the tutee @ 17 wouldnt say "no I don't think I need it."

I love FM but it's OTT I have gone back to CM01/02 just to give myself a break from players demanding £230k a week and still being unhappy, they need a "KILL" button or to be able to set them up like Chelsea did with Mutu and Bosnich so you can just get rid of the players that give you grief and upset your squad.

I started off 5 season ago as St Mirren manager, I took them to 4th in the first season, the second season I was top after 9 games but lost the last two of the quarter to Hearts and Rangers, which dropped me into 3rd, Hull came in for me and I moved to them, sitting in 21st in the championship, we got promoted via the playoffs and my stock rose massively.

Into the third season I was struggling badly with Hull, although we had only lost one game, I had 6 draws at the start of the season and Roma came in for me, I moved to Roma and have been there a few years now, last year I won the double and got us back into the champions league, signing Neymar has been key to the team doing great. Ive also took Scotland to the semi's in the euro championships, before quitting international football after the tournament.

I want to do something similar to that Mark but no idea who to start with, Don't play the game that much now either.

I had tried to get into FM properly for years since the older champ managers and had never been able to (i was actually a contributer to CM3), I could never get a formation/training schedule that was decent enough for me to improve teams but after a fair bit of tweaking I finally got there and it held my interest again.

Yeah similar I am terrible at making tactics.

St Mirren 4th first season is pretty good going though! :)

Hi guys, how do you turn replays off? I want to be able to quit replays like in old FM games. cheers

In the top right of the pitch view (assuming you use the default skin) you can select your match options. It can also be done elsewhere but i forget where. Set replays to none.

Henri Mulders, its 2016 and he's 19 in my game so Im not sure if he is a youngster or even available at the start, but he's 18 and is first choice in my first XI for Roma, scored a hattrick in his second game, he's going to be my future captain I think.

I suppose this is when you know FM has gone too far...

As a season update in my 3rd season in the prem we came 4th and qualified for the champions league :D (held on to all my elite players too). Won the league cup twice and that's it, but there is hope for more

The injuries are certainly broken, 4 players out for 3 to 4 months with torn calf muscles in the space of a week.

Both left backs, and both senior strikers, with the same injury..............in one week.

How many clicks on "pick a league and club for me" should I make before confirming the team I shall be?

Cracked up a game with the Geordies... listed the whole squad and offered them up for sale.

Spent 168m on a pathetically small squad.... first XI likely to be:

Begovic
Baines Shawcross Samba Srna
Fellaini
Downing Dempsey Adam N'Zogbia
Lafferty

Couldnt get the top man I wanted as Agbonlahor's agent was pathetic during negotiations, so ended up with Lafferty who I signed for the young, lumpy cheapness option.

Depth is the huge issue as ive only 1 sub I want and thats Jack Rodwell.... ive had to call up Jak Alnwick as sub keeper, as well as listed Ameobi and Alan Smith. Finally my other sub is Sammy Ameobi for giggles.... im desperate for cash now though.

With respect, my anecdotal evidence trumps your anecdotal evidence.

If injuries were as bad as you claim due to an inherent fault with the game there would be outcry. Its more likely that something you or opposing teams are doing is having an influence.

You need to play Anderson and Bebe as soon as you start with United, Bebe may be crap in real life but he has some mad scoring skills in the game..

I had a rummage through CM scout (since i'm going to be starting again in a couple of seasons) and on this game Bebe is a 139 PA. He's already at 130. He has a - PA in the editor though so he has a range that he gets assigned when you start a new game.
