EURO 2012 Qualifiers 3/4/7 June *** Spoilers ***

People say you have to look to the future but with 10/15 mins to go who would you put your faith in coming off the bench and changing the game - Owen and Beckham........or Downing?
 
That midfield and attack won't win us anything. Walcott's crap, Lampard goes missing in too many games, Milner works hard but lacks real quality and Parker looked way out of his depth and that's before we take Bents inability to score and the lack of strikers available to England in to account.

Deluded muppet, they deserved nothing after a performance like that. Should they have managed more? Absolutely but they didn't deserve anything after a performance like that.
 
England trying to play 4-3-3 with no wingers......

Milner is no attacking left winger, Walcott is no anything, I've never understood the parker loving and Wilshire was everywhere and nowhere.

Cappello is a chump and should be given the bullet before the season starts again as him being in charge is simply pointless.

I think that pretty much hits the nail on the head.

A very poor and lethargic performance from England. I still don't get why Capello is getting the back four to hit the front man as soon as possible. Just long ball tedium. Lampard looks like he is going like Drogba in that his game lacks that bit of bite and sharpness.

Walcott - Gash, couldn't make the right decision on the football field if his life depended on it

Milner - Glimpses of quality but not playing regular football showed today.

Parker - Average performance against an Average team.

Johnson - a 12 car pile up waiting to happen if ever there was one.

Capello - For all his experience, no plan B and very predictable football.

Very few players stand out as world class in an England shirt at this moment in time
 
It's not capello's fault, the team lacks quality in nearly every position. England has nowhere near the quality of teams like Spain and Argentina.
 
Switzerland played better in the first half but generally rather good and comparing with past games much better. The young players ( some of 1992 ) is the key for the future. England in the first 20 minutes scored a beautiful goal then Bent missed an ubelivable shot, at the end a good occasion for switzerland, result is rather correct.;)
 
Said it before the game...we need a complete reshuffle. I want 80% of the first team completely changed. Keep Hart, Wilshere and Rooney but that is it. Start again.

No but by the same token he is not playing some players to their strength, Leighton Baines and Glen Johnson are dangerous in the final 3rd of the field, very rarely did they venture beyond the half way line. Thats the tactical decision of the manager and nothing to do with quality of the player.
 
Nice to see Glen Johnson still stealing a living as a footballer. Milner should have been in the middle instead of Parker and Parker should have been nowhere near the pitch.

The problem with restructuring is it'l only happen once, we'll get dicked, and everyone will be up in arms about why we didn't play the more experienced players. No sane man would ever take the England job, it's a poisoned chalice.
 
I agree with the fact we need a reshuffle. Get rid of the "golden generation". They've had their chance.
 
We lose possession far too easily and then run around like headless chickens trying to win it back. We are as far away from being a top side as ever and I've no idea what the answer is. :confused: Can we not at least try to emulate Barcelona and work in triangles with short incisive passing or do we not have the technical ability? Everything seems so rigid and formulaic. :(
